Our school is located in Shouyi, the birthplace of the Revolution of 1911, with a long history, surrounded by historical and cultural sites such as the Red Mansion and Qiyimen, facing the world-famous Yellow Crane Tower. Our school is also a school named "Shouyi" directly, and has always carried out the education of "Shouyi Culture" as traditional education and characteristic education. In the new era and background, we have a new interpretation of the spirit of Shouyi, which is defined as "pioneering spirit of being the first, pragmatic spirit of not striving for glory, patriotic spirit of rejuvenating the country, cooperative spirit of Qi Xin's concerted efforts, and unknown dedication". Patriotism is the core of the whole Shouyi spirit, the common ground between Shouyi spirit and national spirit, and a good starting point and combining point. Therefore, we combine the national spirit with the characteristics of Shouyi, regard Shouyi spirit as an important aspect of the national spirit, and determine the theme of "loving Shouyi, prospering Shouyi and strengthening the country and enriching the people" to guide the whole activity.
2. Carry out a series of activities of "Shouyi" with "Shouyi Pursuit" as the leader, and carry forward the national spirit.
As early as June 20001year, our school and Shouyi Road Middle School initiated the "Shouyi Chasing Murder" activity for primary and middle school students in Wuhan. On the occasion of commemorating the 90th anniversary of the Revolution of 1911, we launched the activity of "Singing the First Millennium Meaning and Practicing the Five Walks in the First Primary School" in time to educate students on revolutionary tradition and patriotism. We hired the old Hui nationality, the son of the descendants of the Revolution of 1911, grandpa Zhu Fangzheng and grandma Yang Dongrong, the former director of Wuchang District Education Bureau, as off-campus counselors. In March 2003, we launched the theme activity "Spring is at hand, innovation is in action, and Lei Feng is in the heart". By telling Lei Feng's story, reading Lei Feng's diary and singing Lei Feng's songs, the squadrons searched for Lei Feng's footprints, found the Lei Feng around them and took active actions to become "little Lei Feng on campus". Students find the bright spots of people and things around them in the activities, feel the beauty of life with their heart and show the beauty of life with their own practical actions. They worked together to investigate, study, collect and sort out, and finally formed an excellent collection of words, pictures and audio-visual products. The new curriculum emphasizes the integration and interaction of disciplines and pays attention to all-round development. In this context, the Young Pioneers' activities are no longer an isolated part. How to combine with other disciplines is a problem we need to explore.
"Two Courses" is the highlight and key point of curriculum reform, which is practical, developmental and comprehensive in nature, consistent with the starting point of "innovative quality practice" activities, and both pay attention to cultivating students' innovative spirit, inquiry ability and comprehensive practical ability. We try to combine the activity of "passing on the national spirit from generation to generation" with the study of "two courses", expand the field of activities, boldly innovate and practice, and make some valuable explorations.

Last year, our school undertook the research of "Shouyi cultural resources development and school-based curriculum construction" in Wuhan. Together with the school-based curriculum research group, we take it as one of the topics of the Young Pioneers' activities and participate in the research. At present, we set out to create a series of "six" school-based curriculum resource packages of "Shouyi Culture". Through the joint efforts of teachers and students, the series of "Six Famous Names"-Shouyi Famous Names, Shouyi Celebrities, Shouyi Famous Places, Shouyi Famous Names, Shouyi Famous Articles and Shouyi Famous Scenery, was initially completed. Our specific approach: to formulate a curriculum activity framework of comprehensive practical activities featuring "the first meaning" and combine extracurricular activities with in-class activities.
