Everyone likes to choose schools according to the rankings of world universities such as QS.
This kind of list is certainly worth referring to.
But it is more a reflection of the level of school education and scientific research.
After that, we graduated and entered the society.
How competitive is the job search? Is it popular?
It depends on what the company says.
Recently, QILT, a well-known quality evaluation website of Australian educational institutions, released Australia's largest employer satisfaction survey (20 17 employee satisfaction survey).
The data shows that the average satisfaction of Australian companies with college graduates is 83.6%, higher than last year.
So what is the specific ranking? Let's take a look.
Satisfaction ranking of different university graduates
Of all the 4 1 universities in Australia
What employers are most satisfied with is-
jams cook university
The satisfaction rate is as high as 9 1%.
The lowest employer satisfaction is
University of Southern Queensland
Only 77%.
Surprisingly, there are no "eight famous schools" in the top five of the list! The University of Queensland, which ranks the highest among the eight universities, ranks sixth. The lowest is the University of Adelaide, ranking second from the bottom.
(For a complete list, see the end of the article)
In the survey, only 64% of employers in Australia think that a university degree is very important or very important to their work. It seems that enterprises have their own set of standards in selecting and employing people. It is not that the more famous schools are, the easier it is to find jobs.
So what do graduates think of this?
More than 10% of the graduates surveyed think that
Their education is "not important at all".
15% of graduates think that,
Education is not so important to their work.
It turns out that we tried our best to get into a good school.
In the eyes of some people, it is not worth mentioning.
Satisfaction ranking of graduates from different majors
So, which majors are more easily recognized by employers?
The survey report shows that in 20 17 years, the employer's satisfaction with graduates of engineering, health, architecture, education and other related majors was higher than the average level; Engineering graduates have the highest satisfaction, reaching 89.9%, while agricultural graduates have the lowest satisfaction, reaching 79.5%.
Professional and work are not right.
Enterprises pay attention to three aspects in recruiting fresh graduates: school, major and relevant work experience. Specialty is an important advantage for fresh graduates to find jobs, but in fact, many graduates are not engaged in professional counterparts.
According to the survey, 45% graduates majoring in information technology and nearly 48% graduates majoring in management, business and creative arts think that their academic qualifications have nothing to do with their current employment.
Investigation standard
It is reported that the survey collected the opinions of more than 4,000 household units, and evaluated graduates from five aspects: basic foundation, adaptability to the environment, spirit of cooperation, technical professionalism and employability, and finally formed comprehensive satisfaction.
Regarding this ranking, the friends are for reference only. Because the survey reflects the overall trend, the key to final employment is our own personal ability! Therefore, choosing a suitable school and major that you like is king.
