20 10 Zhengzhou was awarded the title of "Building a National Civilized City and Advanced City" for the first time in 2002. Yesterday, the National Commendation Conference on Spiritual Civilization Construction was held in the Great Hall of the People. Mayor Wang Wenchao took the stage to receive the award on behalf of Zhengzhou City.

It is understood that the evaluation activities of national civilized cities and advanced cities that create national civilized cities are held every three years. Yesterday, Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and the Central Civilization Committee awarded 12 cities (districts) the title of national civilized cities (districts), namely Zhangjiagang, Xiamen, Qingdao, Dalian, Ningbo, Shenzhen, Baotou, Zhongshan, Yantai and Heping District of Tianjin, Pudong New Area of Shanghai and Xicheng District of Beijing. Fifty-eight cities were rated as advanced cities to create national civilized cities, including Zhengzhou, Luoyang and Puyang in our province.
