Application time of study visa in Korea

To study in Korea, you need to apply for a study visa, and the examination time of the study visa usually takes 7 working days.

There are four main types of visas for studying in Korea: language training (D-4- 1), doctoral program from junior college (D-2- 1 D-2-4), special research program (D-2-5) and exchange students (D-2-6). Each type has different requirements, and you need to determine your own visa type for studying abroad. For example:

1. Language training (D-4- 1) is given to students in schools below high school (except those who plan to graduate) or students with high school education or above, and it is planned to receive language training in the language institute of the educational institution (university) that issued the study visa (D-2).

Short-term ordinary (C-3- 1) visas will be issued to language trainees whose detention period does not exceed 90 days;

In the case of an accredited university whose illegal detention rate is lower than 1%, the invited school's inherent certificate (or business registration certificate), training plan, academic qualification certificate and property ability certificate are exempted;

2. The courses from junior college to doctor's degree (D-2- 1 to D-2-4) are offered to those who intend to study in educational institutions above junior college in Korea, those who have been admitted by certified universities in Korea or those who have received government scholarships. Issue a single visa and stay for no more than 2 years.

3. Specific research courses (D-2-5) are awarded to those who intend to engage in specific research activities in Korean academic research institutions and are admitted by certified universities or government scholarship winners. Issue a single visa with a stay period of no more than 2 years;

4. Exchange student (D-2-6): a person who is selected as an exchange student according to the exchange agreement between Korea and China University and meets the following three conditions:

Persons (students) who have studied in four-year universities (including undergraduate and junior colleges) or graduate schools for more than one semester;

People who have obtained the standard admission permit issued by the invited universities in Korea;

People who have no record of illegal detention in the past. Issue a single visa with a detention period of 1 year;

Please determine the type of visa you want to apply for, and then prepare according to the materials needed for studying in Korea. Once you have prepared the materials, you can submit a visa application to your consular district. Please consult the Visa Center of the Korean Embassy for the address.

Korean application materials for studying abroad

The materials are basically the same whether you apply for a study visa in Korea or apply for it yourself. The list of materials will be updated regularly on the official website and the consular district. Students who need to apply can pay close attention to the real-time requirements of their consular district in time, and remember not to apply according to the information found on the Internet.

Textbooks are generally divided into basic textbooks and Korean school textbooks.

Basic materials include the following contents:

The first is the ID card. In the case of agency, most agencies need the applicant to provide the original ID card. If the applicant's ID card is correct, it can be returned at that time. In the case of individual application, you can submit a copy of your ID card, but students are advised to bring the original ID card with them in case of emergency.

The second is the passport, and the original passport must be provided. To apply for studying in South Korea in China, the first thing is a passport sticker, and you can only apply if you provide the original passport.

The third is the visa application form. The visa application form can also be downloaded from the consulate in official website, and filled in one by one according to the requirements at the top left of the visa application form. It is usually written in Chinese, Korean or English.

The fourth is passport photos. Visa application has strict requirements for passport photos, which require nearly three months of color bareheaded passport photos on a white background.

This is a little hint for the students. You can wear light makeup on your ID photo, but you must wear light makeup. Don't bring exaggerated ornaments or glasses. Then, don't wear clothes that expose the season or are too casual. Generally, formal clothes or shirts are good choices. The photo size of the Korean study abroad certificate is 3.5cm*4.5cm.

Fifth, the diagnosis certificate of tuberculosis. From July 1 2006, the diagnosis certificate of tuberculosis was added to the Korean visa application, which should be checked and processed at the entry-exit inspection and quarantine bureau designated by the consulate or the designated hospital.

Some students will say that a tertiary hospital close to home is ok, but the answer is no, it must be done in a designated hospital, otherwise the consulate will not recognize it and need to apply again. Although we have to endure the pain of radiation, we must do what we should for the health and safety of ourselves and other students.

The above are the general materials for applying for a visa. In addition to the basic materials, you also need the standard admission ticket or anti-visa number provided by the school. Under normal circumstances, you can't apply for a study visa without a standard admission ticket or anti-visa number.

Copy of certificate (or business registration certificate) of Korean educational institution. This material is simply a copy of the business license of the school. Some consular districts will also require proof of economic ability, proof of attendance, training plan and other materials. However, students admitted to an accredited university whose illegal detention rate is less than 65,438+0% can apply for a visa only by providing the above general materials, the standard admission permit or visa return number and a copy of the school's business registration certificate.

1, financial aid, financial aid is the most important issue in applying for a Korean visa. The key to obtaining a visa is to provide enough proof of financial aid from normal sources.

2. Improper interview. For visa applications sent to the Korean Embassy by the Study Abroad Service Center of the Ministry of Education, the visa officer will select individual applicants for interviews according to the situation and decide whether to issue visas to them according to the interview results. If the applicant's answer is not satisfactory to the visa officer, or the oral expression is poor, it is easy to be refused.

3. The invitation date expires. This problem is generally reflected in IAP-66 table. If the start date of this form is more than one and a half months from the application date, then the invitation period has passed. If you still apply with this IAP-66 form, you will be in danger of being rejected. At this time, you need to ask the other party to reissue the IAP-66 form or invitation letter, indicating the new invitation date and deadline.

4. The visa application form is not filled in correctly. Some applicants don't fill in the form carefully enough, and some mistakes will lead to refusal. Especially in the column of whether you have been to Korea, many applicants are visiting Korea for a short time. If they can't reflect it when filling out the form, the Korean embassy and consulate will regard it as dishonest and refuse to issue them visas.

5. Age and marital status. When young unmarried people apply for visas, the probability of interviews is relatively high. Visa officers usually think that they are inclined to emigrate, so their examination is relatively strict. Therefore, such personnel should have corresponding psychological preparation.

6. Those who refuse to sign. For those who have applied for various visas to Korea for business or personal reasons, it is generally easy to be refused to apply for a visiting scholar visa to Korea as a public institution or institution. When such personnel reapply, they must truthfully reflect the actual situation of the previous refusal. If the facts are concealed and found out by the Korean embassy or consulate, the consequences will be very serious. Not only can the visa not be issued, but it will also cause great difficulties in applying for a visa to South Korea in the future.
