From the Southern Song Dynasty Zhu's Reading Two Thoughts (Part Two), the original text is:
Last night on the Ross River, the huge warship was as light as a feather.
It used to take a lot of effort to push it, but today it can move in the middle of water.
Translation:
The spring tide rose by the river last night, and the ship was as light as a feather.
Pushing and pulling has always been in vain, but today I can drift freely in the middle of the river.
