2020 Miscellaneous Notes (145) Excerpts for Educational Purpose 1
Busy! Busy! Busy! Not only during the day, but every night seems to be very busy, and I feel that there are still many things to do.

Classify things, put reading in an important but not urgent position, and get busy and find that reading has been squeezed out.

Starting today, put reading in an important and urgent position. The first thing to do when you go home every day is to read a book first, and then do something else.

I spent an hour reading the first chapter of The Purpose of Education this evening, and made a rough sketch and annotation. Excerpts are as follows:

1. Students are flesh and blood, and the purpose of education is to stimulate and guide their self-development path.

Stimulate students' natural thirst for knowledge, guide students to know themselves, understand themselves, guide students to develop themselves and cultivate students' metacognitive ability through all educational activities.

2. Self-development is the most valuable intellectual development, which usually occurs between the ages of 16 and 30. To train this kind of self-development, the most important thing should be the education received from the mother before 12 years old.

I am a mother, and I think I have done a good job in cultivating my son's self-reliance and self-development. If you can read these books in your early years, you can certainly do better. It also shows the importance of family education. A child's education is all-sided. The reason why I mention mother here is because who has the closest connection with children and who has the greatest influence on their education. Here also gives us two inspirations. First, as educators, especially primary school educators, we must broaden our horizons and see the future development of children, and we must not pursue immediate educational effects in the future and do things that violate the laws of education. The second is to understand students. First of all, knowing who is undertaking the main educational tasks in children's families and their educational background is conducive to the pertinence of school education.

To avoid ideological rigidity, we should pay special attention to two commandments: don't teach too many subjects at the same time; If you want to teach, you must teach thoroughly.

The first one here is a bit difficult to understand. According to the rhythm of education, the primary school stage belongs to the romantic stage. Shouldn't we expand our study? School teaching belongs to the class teaching system. Every day, even every class, there may be overlapping subjects. Even most schools are proud of their diverse subjects, so it is difficult to teach too many subjects at the same time. Second, the teaching is thorough. I understand that the content of the professor should be small and precise, learn the most fundamental and basic subjects and start deep learning. After learning, it can be applied to real life to help students live a better life and understand life better.

4. knowledge that can't be used is quite harmful. By using knowledge, I mean to relate it to human perception, emotion, desire, hope and psychological activities that can adjust random thoughts. This is our life. It is inconceivable to shape a person's spiritual life only by passively memorizing some fragmented knowledge. Human nature is not like this, and life should not be like this.

There are three inspirations for me here: first, every teacher should think carefully about what knowledge I want to teach children. Although there is the guidance of Chinese core literacy, the artificial guidance of curriculum standards, the support of school training and collective lesson preparation, what children are taught in each class is very different for different teachers. Therefore, every teacher should think: What should I teach my children in these six years? What effect do we teach children? Then break it down into what to teach children this year. What core knowledge and key abilities should be implemented in this unit? Divided into different classes, where is the goal? Only when teachers have a clear understanding and are not blinded by fragmented knowledge will they take their children to a broader learning world.

5. interrelated knowledge should be used as a whole, and various propositions can be used repeatedly in different orders.

The first half of the sentence inspired me, in the process of teaching, we should try our best to make knowledge interrelated and make what students learn gradually structured and systematic. I don't understand the meaning of the second half sentence. Need to think about it again.
