Nanning Institute of Education, formerly known as Nanning Teacher Training School, was founded in August 1982 and is located at No.57 Beihu North Road, Nanning.

1February, 984, with the approval of the people's government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Nanning Normal School was renamed Nanning Regional Education College, under the dual leadership of the Education Committee of the Autonomous Region and the Nanning Regional Administrative Office.

1986 In March, Nanning Institute of Regional Education was officially listed in the series of national adult colleges and universities, and passed the evaluation and acceptance by the Education Commission of the Autonomous Region and the State Education Commission on 1988 and 1994 respectively.

1March, 992, the college was directly led by Nanning prefectural party Committee and Nandi administrative office. In July, 1999, "Nanning Institute of Education" and "Nanning Branch of RTVU" were formally merged, and the new Nanning Institute of Education was formed by integrating adult higher education, general higher education and open education of RTVU, which marked that the development of the college entered a brand-new stage.

After Nanning was abolished in 2003 and Chongzuo, a prefecture-level city, was established, the college was affiliated to Chongzuo Municipal People's Government.

On September 20 13, the college moved to Chongzuo as a whole, and the current campus is located at No.32 Jianshe Road, Chongzuo City.
