Besides the Forbidden City, what other museums in China are worth visiting?
As an amateur museum lover who is not majoring in museum science, I have been to dozens of museums, large and small, some for work and some for simple hobbies. Please recommend some special museums that I have been to.

1.? Shandong Museum Shandong Bo is definitely one of the museums that are friendly to professionals. Shandong Province, as a major province of cultural relics, has a large collection of cultural relics from the Neolithic Age and the Shang and Zhou Dynasties. The eggshell black pottery in middle school history books and the bronze ware in Qilu are really shocking. If you bring a small partner, you must go to the East African Animal Migration Exhibition on the top floor. All kinds of fluffy animals are particularly lifelike.

2. Hubei Provincial Museum Hubei Provincial Museum must see: Zeng Houyi chimes, Qin Bamboo Slips in Sleeping Tiger Land, Gou Jianjian, the King of Yue, and the skull of Yun County.

The exhibition in Ceng Houyi mainly shows the cultural relics of Zeng State (PS: I want to see the cultural relics of Chu State, and recommend Jingzhou Museum). During the viewing process, you can buy tickets for Zeng Houyi's chime performance and experience the chime performance personally.

3.? Xuzhou Museum Xuzhou is the capital of Chu State in Han Dynasty. Cliff caves have been excavated one after another, and many exquisite cultural relics, such as jade clothes, have been unearthed. Some of these cultural relics are in Xuzhou Museum, and some are in museums built according to tombs. Therefore, to visit museums in Xuzhou, besides China International Import Expo(CIIE), you must join the Museum of Han Tombs. The Han Tomb Museum recommends the Chu Tomb of Lion Mountain and the Han Tomb of Guishan Mountain. Of course, Xuzhou Museum also has a Han tomb, which is being excavated now, hoping to open to the public as soon as possible.

4.? Luoyang Tomb Museum Luoyang Tomb Museum is also called Luoyang Ancient Art Museum. Although it is in the suburbs of Luoyang, it is definitely worth visiting, preferably in summer! There are dozens of tombs in different dynasties, so you can visit the tomb structure of various tombs at close range. Next to it is the mausoleum area of the Northern Wei emperors, with the original Jingling and the restored Yuan nobles' tombs. You can learn a lot from a visit. Moreover, the tombs are all underground, which is an excellent attraction for summer vacation.

5.? Hanyang Mausoleum Museum Hanyang Mausoleum is the cemetery where Liu Qi and the Queen Wang were buried together. This is a museum built on the original site. The museum displays not only collections, but also burial pits, ritual buildings and criminal cemeteries.

6.? China ceramics museum Museum, located in Jingdezhen, is an upgrade of the original Jingdezhen Expo. It was built on 20 15, so the design of this museum is still full of modern flavor. The disadvantage is that it is too far from Jingdezhen city. The driving time is long and the traffic in Jingdezhen is extremely inconvenient! Look at the collection inside, and you will be surprised that human brain holes are really endless. If you travel to Jingdezhen, this museum can also visit the ruins of the imperial kiln factory that burned porcelain for the royal family during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In ancient and modern times, you can fully feel the literary atmosphere of Jingdezhen.

In fact, these recommended museums are very experiential, very suitable for archaeologists or museum lovers to visit, and also very suitable for taking children to feel the massiness and vastness of history. I hope you can have a deeper understanding during your visit!
