Putian College is located in the southeast coast of Fujian, the hometown of Mazu, the goddess of maritime peace, and Putian, a famous hometown of overseas Chinese. Approved by the Ministry of Education in March, 2002, it is a full-time undergraduate college led and managed by the Fujian provincial government, and implements a school-running system that is jointly built by provinces and cities and is dominated by cities.
