Fushun County was originally the administrative domain of Jiangyang County in ancient times, which was established last Tuesday (567). In the first year of Taiping Xingguo (976), in order to avoid the taboo of Taizong, it was renamed Fushun Jian, hence the name Fushun County.

Fushun County has one of the national cultural relics protection units, the Tomb of Emperor Liu Guangdi, Fushun Confucian Temple and provincial cultural relics protection units, and there are scenic spots such as West Lake, Wufu Mountain, Zhongxiushan Mountain, Qianfo Temple, Huilan Tower, natural stone Buddha and Fuyuan Residential Buildings.
