How to Implement Innovative Education in English Teaching
Innovative education is an important part of implementing quality education. Quality education focusing on cultivating innovative spirit and practical ability is the main theme of today's education reform, and classroom teaching is the main position to cultivate students' innovative spirit and practical ability. As a qualified English teacher, we should constantly cultivate students' innovative spirit and practical ability through our own innovative practice. How to change the concept of education, bring forth the old and cultivate a generation of high-quality talents with solid foundation, innovative spirit and pioneering ability is the primary task of today's teachers. So how to implement innovative education in English classroom teaching? I want to combine the characteristics of English subject with my English teaching practice in recent years to talk about my own views.

First of all, to implement innovative education, we must first change the concept of education.

Naisbitt once said: "In the era of knowledge economy, what we need most is creativity and innovative spirit". However, the traditional English teaching takes teaching as the center and students as the knowledge container, which seriously suppresses students' desire for innovation. Due to the lack of attention to students' interests and personality differences, students regard a class with great teaching aesthetics as a "chore" and have no sense of pleasure. Teachers also hope to achieve results through "hard work". The stereotyped language analysis and mechanical imitation form a dull and depressing teaching environment. Therefore, it is an important and urgent change for teachers to change old ideas and establish new ones.

Changing the concept of education should not be an empty concept, but should have concrete connotation. From the perspective of implementing quality education in an all-round way, we should realize practical changes in the following aspects:

1. Change students' views. Teachers should be people-oriented, believe in potential, believe that students can study independently and treat students with a developmental perspective. I believe that every student has great plasticity, is an individual who is constantly changing, developing and progressing, and has development potential and independent personality.

2. Teachers should not only attach importance to imparting knowledge and cultivating ability, but also to stimulating and cultivating students' interest in learning, so that they can form effective learning strategies and good study habits;

3. In the teaching content, we should change from simple language teaching to learning with equal emphasis on language, culture and scientific knowledge, cultivate sentiment, improve personality and cultivate humanistic spirit;

4. In terms of teaching methods, we should not only have China characteristics, but also learn advanced foreign teaching methods, and study both teaching methods and learning methods. These methods should be based on cultivating students' thinking mode and thinking quality, so as to truly realize the purpose of cultivating students' innovative ability. ?

Second, creating a relaxed and harmonious learning environment is the guarantee for implementing innovative education.

Lady, an American psychologist, put forward a very unique view on individual creativity. He believes that "independence" supplemented by collective activities, "idleness" compared with intense study and work, "fantasy" contrary to rational thinking and "free thinking" are important conditions for cultivating creativity. Therefore, teachers should care about, trust and respect students in their usual teaching, form a democratic and equal interpersonal relationship between teachers and students, make students feel happy physically and mentally, feel safe, and form a positive mental state and healthy psychology. Only by constantly creating this relaxed and harmonious learning environment, students' thinking will not be bound, they will learn independently and explore and create. ? Imagine how a strict teacher, with a rigid, dignified, commanding, reprimanding and punishing classroom environment, can stimulate students' communicative desire to learn a language, give play to innovative thinking and tap their creative potential. Therefore, it is necessary to establish an open relationship between teachers and students, so that students can be confident, think positively and speak boldly, and teaching can be based on students' independent activities and exploration. At the same time, positive and encouraging evaluation methods are often used to motivate students in and out of class. For the questions answered by students, pay attention to finding their bright spots and give timely feedback. Don't scold or laugh at poor performance. You can say words of encouragement such as "simple", "try again" and "I believe you can do better next time". Only in this way can we successfully implement innovative education and make teaching activities achieve the expected purpose.

Third, cultivate students' sense of participation and spirit of cooperation.

Attention should be paid to the guiding role of teachers and the main role of students in teaching. First of all, we should provide students with opportunities to participate in teaching, constantly stimulate and guide their interest in learning, and provide them with more time and space for thinking and creating. Creating practical teaching activities arouses students' eagerness to try, and students experience the joy of success in the process of participating in the activities in person. Secondly, we should strengthen classroom discussion, strengthen students' sense of competition and innovation, and cultivate students' ability to ask, explore and solve problems. In teaching, teachers can give students some time to think and let them discuss in English.

English classroom teaching activities are not only the teaching of language knowledge and the cultivation of ability, but more importantly, the process of thinking collision and new information acquisition between teachers and students and between students in information transmission and emotional exchange. To carry out class group work, team work, pairing work and other teaching activities, we should take the cooperation activities of group members as the main body, take the achievement of group goals as the standard, and take the reward of group achievements as the evaluation basis. Teachers and students should discuss, evaluate, inspire and encourage each other in groups, so as to expand students' thinking space and improve their creative thinking ability.

Fourthly, the ways and methods of implementing innovative education in English classroom teaching.

First of all, teachers must treat students correctly in classroom teaching and implement "teaching students in accordance with their aptitude" to ensure that top students eat well and poor students eat well. Let all students participate independently, stimulate competition, form a unified whole of "soldiers teaching soldiers, officials teaching soldiers and military instructors", and improve the whole class together.

Secondly, preparing lessons is an important part of implementing innovative education. Teachers should prepare lessons well.

(1) Set questions skillfully to cultivate students' English thinking ability.

The problem is the starting point of thinking, and any thinking process always points to a specific problem. Problems are the premise of innovation, and innovation begins with problems. The history of science is the history of exploring mysteries and answering questions. One of the important strategies to implement innovative education in classroom teaching in primary and secondary schools is to strengthen students' awareness of problems. Setting up doubts skillfully and cultivating students' innovative thinking ability. Mr. Tao Xingzhi, a famous educator, said: "The starting point of inventing millions is to ask." A pool of stagnant water, calm, threw a stone, rippling blue waves stirred up a thousand waves. Teachers' teaching lies in being good at setting doubts, being good at setting doubts, being good at arousing doubts and hitting the sparks of students' thinking. At the same time, teachers should be good at guiding students to find questions where there is no doubt, and consciously train students' ability to find problems. In teaching, teachers can carefully design a set of similar questions, so that students can follow the logical thinking guided by teachers step by step, so as to achieve the purpose of suddenly realizing and drawing inferences, and also allow students to discover, explore and draw conclusions by themselves under the guidance of teachers.

For example, when I was teaching abraham lincoln, I guided the students to answer this question according to their proficiency in the text.

What would Lincoln have done if he hadn't been shot?

The students had a heated discussion on this issue and expressed their opinions, which not only consolidated the content of the text, but also exercised the students' logical thinking ability and received unexpected results.

(2) Creating problem situations to stimulate students' interest in learning and their desire to actively explore.

Being good at creating situations can often achieve twice the result with half the effort. I once drew a stick figure on the blackboard in an oral class, which read: A boy is crossing the bridge. At this time, there is a wolf on the bridge, a tiger at the other end of the bridge, and a rushing river under the bridge; Give the situation and ask the question "What would you do if you were that boy?" The students are full of interest in this topic. This kind of oral class not only cultivates students' listening and speaking ability, but also develops students' innovative thinking ability in the process of expressing new thinking.

(3) Use English textbooks to cultivate students' innovative thinking and logical thinking ability.

1. Creative thinking ability

In the teaching process, teachers can make full use of teaching materials to cultivate students' creative thinking ability. For example, teachers can guide students to supplement and extend according to some discourse plots in teaching, such as discussion ending and continuation; Grasp the various possibilities of the development of things in the plot of the text, and guide students to associate and rewrite; Grasp the key points in the article and carry out general thinking training, such as expounding the author's writing intention and summarizing the central idea; Use the doubts in the text to train the ability of evaluation and critical thinking; Cultivate students' observation ability, problem-finding ability, imagination and divergent thinking ability with illustrations.

2. Logical thinking ability and deep thinking ability

Logical reasoning runs through the whole process of reading comprehension and is the core of reading comprehension. Teachers' training of students' reasoning ability should focus on grasping the deep meaning of language, so that students can reason according to the specific context and on the basis of overall understanding, and get the meaning that is not clearly expressed but contained in the text.

For example, what does the author want to express by telling us such a story? (SB 1B L74-75)

Why should we let the elk return to China? (SB 1B L66)

What can we learn from this novel about American society at that time? (SB2A L37)

These questions help to guide students to think more deeply on the basis of careful reading, so as to solve problems and cultivate students' logical thinking and deep thinking ability.

(4) Pay attention to the guidance of learning methods and cultivate self-study ability.

Teaching students learning methods is an important principle to optimize education. The ancients said that it is better to teach people to fish than to teach people to fish. In other words, teachers not only teach students knowledge, but more importantly, teach students the methods and skills to acquire knowledge to meet the increasingly fierce social needs. Ye Shengtao, a famous educator, said that "teaching is to avoid teaching" and "not teaching is to cultivate students' lifelong self-study ability". Therefore, the key to innovative education is to guide students to correct learning methods, cultivate good study habits and self-study ability, and stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning. The ways to cultivate students' self-study ability are: setting up English corner, English speech contest, English evening party, etc. Through these forms, students can use their brains, mouths, eyes and hands as much as possible, so that they can be inspired, associated and inspired, increase their creative intention, and train and cultivate their innovative ability. Only in this way can students stimulate potential creative intelligence, lead self-study and exploration activities under the impetus of will and belief, constantly update, deepen and enrich what they have learned, and lay the foundation for the development of creative thinking.

In a word, the purpose of education is to cultivate talents who meet the needs of the times, and 2 1 century needs high-quality talents with continuous innovation ability. As a cross-century English teacher, we should pay attention to cultivating students' independent and innovative learning quality in teaching and strive to open up a new situation in English classroom teaching in the new era.
