The biggest difference between modern education and traditional education in China lies in emphasizing practice and pedantry, and in seeking development and fame. The former emphasizes the combination with social development practice in order to develop and serve the society, while the latter only requires "listening to things outside the window and concentrating on reading sage books" in order to achieve the first prosperity. Under the "Six Classics Note Me, I Note Six Classics", China's traditional research only focuses on behind closed doors and does not practice. It can no longer meet the development requirements of modern society. This traditional research has also had an important impact on the development of comparative education in China. First, it is difficult to explore the development law in combination with the actual research aimed at functional practice by staying in the mindset of introducing education or simply comparing and analyzing some educational phenomena; The second is to advocate the closed-door research of "all talk and no action" as academic, and exclude China's educational practice and the research on how to learn from foreign educational experience from academic; Thirdly, the essence of comparative pedagogy is to face the real and vivid contemporary educational reality and never leave practice. However, China's traditional research methods make the comparative education in China stagnate in practice, which also makes the subject lose its internal motivation for development.
