How to tap students' potential
Potential, as the name implies, is a person's potential ability. One of teachers' tasks is to tap students' potential to the maximum extent, so that each student's ability can be brought into full play.

One. Establish a democratic and equal relationship with students, believe in every student, and actively discover the bright spots in them.

Teachers can't just make students afraid of themselves. It is right for students to be in awe of their teachers, but this does not mean that students must be like thieves when they meet the police. On the surface, students' self-control and discipline will be greatly enhanced, which will help students standardize their behavior; In fact, this is not conducive to tapping students' potential, because students will spend too much energy to prevent themselves from violating discipline, the whole nerve will be nervous and the learning efficiency will be greatly reduced. Discipline is the guarantee of learning, but it is not the whole of learning. Teachers should be kind to students and be kind to students. They should not only make students abide by class rules and discipline, but also make students trust their teachers, treat them as friends, and be willing to tell them their feelings, so that they can feel that the class is like a warm family and feel the warmth of home at all times. Of course, the premise is that teachers should have love in their hearts, treat students without utilitarianism, treat students as their own children, and care and love them in every possible way. In addition, the words "poor students" or "double poor students" should not appear in teachers' dictionaries. If there are some students with poor discipline and poor study in the class, the teacher should make a comprehensive investigation of their situation and find out the root cause of their situation today. Everything happens for a reason. They won't do this at first. Every child is born like a blank sheet of paper, with strong plasticity and imitation. Students are not bad in nature. We shouldn't look at them with colored glasses. In fact, many similar students often do not perform badly after entering the society, and all have their own unique places. We can't just stare at their shortcomings and treat them one-sidedly, let alone give them up and treat them as' scum'. If teachers abandon them prematurely and push them mercilessly into society, they will really give up on themselves. Who doesn't want to be respected and recognized by others? I found that many criminals have one thing in common: their parents spoil them too much, but their hearts can't; Long-term lack of care, disheartened, broken cans and broken falls; Often treated unfairly, with hatred in my heart; Crime out of anger. In fact, to some extent, students, like them, can't solve the problem by severe punishment alone. We must analyze specific problems and prescribe the right medicine. There is a crisis of trust in today's society. I don't know when human beings began to become selfish and indifferent. However, teachers should try their best to convince students that not everyone is like this, or that someone really cares about them and rekindles their enthusiasm for life.

Second, conscientiously implement the spirit of the new curriculum reform: let students learn to study independently, boldly question and learn to ask questions.

In my opinion, teaching under the requirements of the new curriculum reform should include the following contents: 1.

Propose a topic (each class should be a combination of one or more topics)

Give students some time to think. 3.

Let students dare to put forward their own opinions. Don't comment on the students' answers, you can brainstorm and summarize after all the students have answered.

Teachers comment and supplement students' opinions. 5.

Then we can discuss with students, dig deeper, let students try to ask some questions and cultivate students' divergent and innovative thinking. The purpose is to cultivate students' independent thinking ability.

The whole class doesn't have to stick to a fixed model, and everything is carried out in a free, open and harmonious atmosphere.

Go on. There are many mathematicians like Chen Jingrun and Hua in China, but few mathematicians like Goldbach can ask questions. In the 1920s, a hypothesis put forward by Einstein made NASA allocate more than 700 million dollars for research. So our students are not lacking in diligence and education. The key is the lack of the spirit of questioning and the ability to ask insightful questions. The task of our education is to cultivate students' ability in this respect, so that they can learn to question and debate, rather than worship and believe. This is the essence of the new curriculum reform!

Classroom is the main position of teachers and must be fully utilized, because it plays a very important role in tapping students' potential. We should abandon the traditional "cramming" teaching. Teachers sing "one-man show" by themselves. Students only know how to keep taking notes, using their hands, mouth, eyes and ears, but they can't use their brains. How to ensure classroom efficiency under such a classroom mode? How to tap the potential of students? Students' learning is "asking questions-analyzing problems-solving problems"

Process, not just the process of memory, without understanding and analysis, the effect of memory can not be guaranteed!

Three. Let students learn to put forward their own unique views on some people or things.

Teachers can give students some topics and let them write their own opinions in the form of articles. For example, I once asked such a question: "Should middle school students bring mobile phones? Masked old urchin, talk about Chen Duxiu, how to treat puppy love, and talk about the star worship of middle school students. . . . . . Maybe they are not used to it at first and feel that they have nothing to say, but after writing a few articles, they will gradually like this activity, because everyone has a desire to express their ideas, and we should give them this opportunity. We should not underestimate the wisdom and potential of any student. If you find a good article, you can read it to your classmates, which is a great encouragement to students.

The purpose of this activity is not only to improve students' writing ability, but the most important thing is to cultivate their habit of independent thinking, not to follow others' advice and have their own ideas, which is a kind of training for students' thinking.

It plays an important role in tapping potential. The most direct influence is that students may not only passively accept what the teacher says during the usual class. They will think about what the teacher said before deciding whether to accept it. At least, they will not blindly believe without thinking, which will also cultivate students' innovative consciousness.

Four. Often give students some brain teasers, riddles or interesting math problems.

Generally speaking, most students are interested in such activities and have a high enthusiasm for participating. Therefore, when they face such problems, they will think very seriously, and their thinking should not be too direct or too rigid, otherwise it will be difficult to find the answer to the question, which will help improve their divergent and innovative thinking. For example, I once gave students a riddle: tears (to play an idiom, the answer is upside down), and many students revolved around its meaning, which entered a misunderstanding. When students think, they must put themselves in other's shoes.

This completely subverts the traditional and fixed thinking mode of students, and the effect is very obvious.

Five. Establish a small library in the classroom and carry out reading activities.

The excavation of students' potential can not be separated from certain cultural accumulation. Let students read more books, learn to write book reviews, broaden their cultural horizons and deepen the profoundness of their thoughts. Middle school students' thoughts are superficial and naive, and the depth is not enough, especially reading some profound works. The most realistic thing is that they may not even understand the articles or composition materials of the Chinese college entrance examination questions. It is hard to imagine that a student without any cultural accumulation can make a qualitative breakthrough in his grades! Deep thinking does not mean immature maturity, and naive shallowness does not mean simplicity and truth. Therefore, it is of far-reaching significance for middle school students to read more thoughtful works (such as Li Ao and Nietzsche).

Six. Teachers can use the time of reading newspapers to set up people columns (similar to cctv- 10) or open books for eight minutes (Phoenix TV).

Let students know more about some classic figures in ancient and modern times, at home and abroad, and also promote their potential. I have talked about Einstein, Russell, Li Ao, Michelangelo, Nietzsche, Schopenhauer, Zheng, Wade, Ma Yun and Kafka. . . . . . Through the explanation of these classic figures, students can get a lot of inspiration from them; I have talked about Pascal's thoughts, Fortress Besieged, The Long Tail Theory, Summerhill School and Rejecting Peking University. . . . . . Through the understanding of these books, students may gain some spiritual enlightenment. I also tell my students about some unique countries, such as Israel, Costa Rica, Japan, North Korea, Nepal, Germany and Singapore. . . . . . Through the analysis of these countries, the students seem to have traveled all over the world, and the second pulse of Ren Du seems to have been completely opened, and the height and breadth of thinking have been improved to a certain extent.

In a word, it is an arduous and long task to tap students' potential, with a long way to go and very high requirements for teachers. After eight years of exploration and hard work, I have made some achievements, but due to the limitation of my own ability, I have also experienced a lot of mental struggles and pains, especially when my efforts can't even get the understanding and support of students (some students think it is better to talk about a few college entrance examination questions), and I feel extremely depressed and desperate. I fell down and gave up countless times, but I finally stood up because of my obsession and love for education, and decided to devote my life to it and die without regret!
