Jiujiang, referred to as Xunyang for short, is a prefecture-level city in Jiangxi Province, which was called Chaisang, Jiangzhou and Xunyang in ancient times. It is a famous city in the south of the Yangtze River with a history of more than 2200 years. Jiujiang, located at the intersection of the Yangtze River and Beijing-Kowloon Railway, is a regional central port city in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, one of the first five cities in China to open to the outside world along the Yangtze River, and a transitional zone from the eastern coast to the central and western regions. Known as "the mouth of the three rivers, the thoroughfare of seven provinces", "the land of the eyebrows in the world" and "the north gate of Jiangxi".
