Class management method should be ethical, which has two goals, one is to promote the healthy development of the class as a whole, and the other is to promote the healthy development of every student in the class.
Regarding the management of ethical classes, the book mentions some common problems, such as copying. It is acceptable for students to correct their mistakes three times. But some teachers make mistakes and have to correct them 30 times or even 300 times. When a student copies these 300 times, especially when he is tired of copying them, what will his mind think of our approach to this matter? Although the student is young, his heart is like a mirror. This kind of behavior that consumes students' patience has no educational significance at all. It is immoral to do so. We ask students to punish plagiarism, so that they can get knowledge points to correct their mistakes and copy them several times to achieve results. Is it in line with general social ethics? Is it harmful to students' physical and mental health? This is worth thinking about.
There is another example about rewards. In an exam, most students did well. Only a few students didn't get the ideal grades, so the teacher bought prizes out of his own pocket to motivate the students with good grades, distributed prizes in public and took pictures of his friends. He was also moved by his selfless behavior. Perhaps our original intention is to encourage these students, to encourage those who have not won the prize, and to make those who have not won the prize work hard to get it. But in fact? Will these students who didn't win the prize really be motivated? Maybe it is more frustration and embarrassment! So Mr. joy chen thinks that "there are 50 people in the class, and if 49 people are rewarded, then this reward is the shame of that person."
If the reward area is too large, it will not only lose the incentive function, but also make a few people more depressed. What's the point of such a reward?
The class is made up of all students. Our class management should be responsible for each student and promote the development of all students. We should not let some people be damaged or abandoned while developing some people. In this case, we should reflect on whether this behavior is immoral.
Is there much such behavior? We think of them, even moved by our own efforts. Is it really beneficial to the growth and development of all students? Is it conducive to the development of the class?
A few days ago, the Henan Provincial Department of Education just issued a new policy, "Disciplinary Rules for Primary and Secondary Education (Trial)", which refined several prohibited improper educational behaviors, including the following:
1. Teachers punish all students for individual or minority violations;
2. Educate and punish students' academic achievements;
3. Implement or selectively implement educational punishment due to personal emotions, likes and dislikes.
These items do exist. If the class teacher has emotions, then the class teacher is not professional.
Class teachers and students are not rivals, so they should unite and cooperate to achieve common goals. Pay attention to the growth of students and always remember that students are the ultimate goal of education, not the object of management.
