Applicants can apply by telephone, fax, letter or email. Then submit the written description and documents of the application project, including notarial certificate, newspaper clippings, photos and videos of the record-setting process. After the application has passed the preliminary examination, the Guinness Declaration Center will send the relevant information to the Guinness Headquarters in the UK. After the audit by the headquarters, the projects that may be selected will be certified for the second time. After passing the examination, the Guinness Headquarters will issue a certificate, and the Guinness Declaration Center will issue a certificate to the record winner. For the events that have not been held, the applicant can contact the Guinness Declaration Center and put forward specific suggestions to make the plan more reasonable and increase the assurance of winning the Guinness World Record. The Guinness Declaration Center does not charge for the whole application process, nor does it bear any expenses incurred by the applicant for challenging the record. It should be noted that the Guinness Declaration Center does not return all application materials.
