Regularity of children's psychological development
Montessori attaches great importance to early education. She believes that children's psychological development has rhythm, stages and regularity, and the impulse to emphasize vitality is the driving force of children's psychological development. At the same time, she stressed that the normal development of children's psychology must rely on the timely and reasonable arrangement of environment and education.
A prepared environment
Montessori believes that children should be provided with a "prepared environment", that is, a real environment that meets children's needs, an environment that provides activities and exercises for children's physical and mental development, and an environment full of freedom, love, nutrition, happiness and convenience. The basic principle of real science education is to give students freedom, that is, to let children express themselves independently and spontaneously according to their own nature.
Diversified educational content
Montessori proposed that preschool education mainly includes: sensory education, reading, writing and calculation exercises, and practical life exercises. Among them, sensory education mainly includes the training of vision, hearing, smell, taste and touch. The practice of reading, writing and arithmetic should make use of children's learning ability, prepare suitable teaching materials and teaching AIDS for children, and provide correct learning miscellaneous things. Practical life exercises include daily life skills, gardening, handicrafts and gymnastics.
