Read "To Young Teachers" on page 127- 132 today.
The characteristic of education is slowness, and education is a slow cause. It may be unrealistic to expect immigrant teachers to become backbones in three years and subject leaders in five years. It is impossible to train teachers quickly, and it is impossible for education and teaching to violate objective laws.
Education is a slow undertaking, and its characteristics are most like agriculture and forestry. Three generations of gentlemen. You can't rely on hardware equipment, you can't emphasize capital investment, you can't expect to work overtime, and you can't rely on the use of growth hormone.
It is unrealistic and disrespectful to set lifelong education goals for students too early. We can't go against the basic educational common sense and the basic laws of education and teaching in order to put forward a dazzling and unconventional slogan. What worries me more is, because all the actions of educators are affecting students' thinking, will this trampling on common sense affect students' thinking and judgment?
The slowness of education is an objective law, which must be observed and not let go. Take class as an example. Can the teacher jump ten grades? Observing the teaching of some teachers is like being on the road, always in a hurry. Students should be allowed to find out for themselves, and teachers' over-interpretation is often self-defeating.
When did they lose interest in learning in the basic education stage? Why do they lose interest in learning? Although the reasons are complicated. But what they have in common is that their parents and teachers have set unrealistic goals for them, and because of their limited ability, they are mentally exhausted for a long time, so they simply sit down and never want to stand up again.
Whether it is a school, a teacher or a family, don't rush for success.
