In China, primary and secondary education takes 12 years to complete, which is divided into three stages: primary school, junior high school and senior high school. Primary education lasts five or six years. In junior high school, most students attend three-year junior high school, and very few attend four-year junior high school. Almost 98% of students apologize for entering the school. Nine-year education in primary and junior high schools is compulsory. Ordinary high school education lasts for 3 years, and students are required to take the final exam at the end of each semester in the compulsory education stage.
