Shaoguan University ranks 27th in Guangdong Province. Shaoguan University is a provincial public full-time comprehensive undergraduate university, which generally enrolls students in the second batch, so we usually say that Shaoguan University is two universities. It is a full-time undergraduate college that integrates science, industry and agriculture approved by the Ministry of Education. It is a comprehensive application-oriented undergraduate college, a pilot unit for comprehensive reform of internationalization of local higher education, and a Chinese cultural heritage base. It is also Shaoguan Teachers College, which was founded in July 1958. In March 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Shaoguan University merged with Shaoguan Education College organized by Shaoguan Municipal People's Government, upgraded to an undergraduate college and renamed Shaoguan College.
