With the help of Shaanxi Peng Hao Industrial Co., Ltd. and the joint efforts of ten parties, Kannonji has been successfully built and opened to the outside world, becoming a permanent Dojo for promoting Buddhism in Zhong Nanshan. Master Guo Xuan, director of Chinese Buddhist Association and vice president of Shaanxi Buddhist Association, presided over the educational affairs of the temple. Master Guo Xuan will lead two groups of people to build the Buddhist Temple into a clean and just Dojo of "solemn territory, caring for the people, promoting Buddhism and harmonious society". The Buddhist Temple is located in Peng Hao Grand View Garden, and its star-rated hotel and conference center hardware and software facilities provide a reliable guarantee for Kannonji to become a Buddhist exchange platform in western China and even the world.
Kannonji is located in the secluded place where practitioners practice in past dynasties, and Han Xiangzi, one of the famous Eight Immortals in history, once cultivated immortals here. The peaks around the temple are surrounded by eight petals of lotus, and the temple is located on the lotus platform in the center. Looking around, the wonderful peaks and beautiful stones, green mountains and green waters make people feel relaxed and happy!
Kannonji consists of Tianwang Temple, Bell and Drum Tower, Ursa Hall, Guanyin Pavilion, Release Pond, Zen Hall, Circulation Office, Gallery Hall, Su Zhai Hall and other major buildings. The whole building is resplendent and magnificent, and the statue in Daxiong Hall is sacred and solemn, which enshrines the three treasures of Buddhist monks. Guanyin Mountain behind the Buddhist temple is dedicated to a three-sided Guanyin statue of white marble with a height of 16, which looks holy and solemn, and looks down on all beings with kind eyes, which makes people worship! At present, the three-sided Guanyin statue is the best in Shaanxi, and it has become a symbol of Buddhism in Zhong Nanshan.
Under the leadership of Master Guo Xuan, the abbot of Kannonji, we will continue to carry forward the fine Buddhist tradition of attaching equal importance to patriotism, education, agriculture and Zen Buddhism, and actively carry forward the Buddhist culture in Zhong Nanshan with monasteries as the carrier, so as to make contributions to building a harmonious socialist society. Buddhist monasteries have established the purpose of "promoting Buddhism through culture, cultivating talents through education, repaying society through charity, and purifying people's hearts through group meditation". They hold various group meditation meetings all the year round, and insist on normal religious life such as morning and evening classes, fasting between classes, chanting in the morning and evening, and attending summer classes in winter.
The completion of Kannonji will add a new cultural landscape to Chang 'an District, and will also add rich Buddhist cultural connotations to Chang 'an District's creation of a tourist area.
