As an important part of humanized nursing in departments, we should provide patients with scientific, rigorous and feasible views and knowledge according to their specific conditions, so that patients can believe, understand, remember, master and persist in doing it. This is not a simple matter, which requires our nurses to carry out health education according to people, time and illness.

Recently, our department organized patients and their families to carry out centralized health education, and systematically and comprehensively explained their knowledge about radiotherapy from the aspects of what radiotherapy is, its adverse reactions and how to prevent them. Our nurses changed the scientific terms that patients didn't understand into easy-to-understand words to tell patients, and patients and their families listened with relish and interacted. In the process of education, patients and their families can ask questions at any time, and department missionaries will answer them, greatly. This time, we also carried out health education for VTE high-risk groups in the department. Through this education, patients and their families realized the importance of preventing VTE, and the missionary of the department demonstrated the ankle pump exercise on the spot, so that patients and their families could understand its exercise method more intuitively.
