Contemporary young students are the future and hope of the motherland. Paying attention to the growth of young students means caring about the future and destiny of the motherland. In the new historical stage, facing the more complicated social and economic environment and the actual needs of college students' growth, it is particularly arduous to strengthen and improve college students' ideological and political education.

Investigation on the present situation of college students' thoughts

Due to the influence of various social phenomena and social thoughts, college students' ideological status and value orientation are diversified; The expansion of enrollment has caused a sharp increase in the number of students, and students' political quality and academic performance are uneven, which has led to many new situations in ideological and political education. To this end, we conducted an extensive and in-depth survey of 4,000 college students and 200 teachers in four local colleges and universities in Jiangxi randomly by issuing questionnaires. After analyzing and summarizing all kinds of data, it is considered that the ideological status of college students can be roughly summarized into the following three aspects:

1, full of confidence in the future of the country and individuals, and actively demanding progress ideologically.

In the option "Do you think the goal of building a well-off society in an all-round way in China under the leadership of China * * *" can be achieved? The proportions of "achievable" and "basically achievable" are 3 1.7% and 49.5% respectively. Regarding the view that you have the ability to build yourself well in China, the proportion of "approval" and "basic approval" is 30.7% and 52.3% respectively. The proportion of "identity" and "basic identity" that "Theory of Three Represents is the guiding ideology of our party" is 42.9% and 42.6% respectively; In the "What do you think of the value of life" option, the proportion of answering "the value of life lies in the contribution to society" and "the value of people lies in the unity of dedication and demand" is 30% and 55.6% respectively; In the answer to the question "What do you think of life happiness", 32% people chose "serving the people and making contributions to society".

2. College students are psychologically mature and have a certain tolerance for pressure from all sides.

In the answer to the question "When you were studying in university, the stress mainly came from", the proportions of economy, study, interpersonal relationship, employment and love were 2 1.7%, 24.6%, 17.6%, 17.6% and 9.6% respectively. It can be seen that local college students are under great pressure in economy, employment and study during their school days. But in the survey, we also found that everyone has a certain tolerance for various pressures. For example, when answering "Ways to overcome economic difficulties", the proportion of "work-study program at school" and "family education" were 2 1.6% and 20% respectively; When answering "Ways to overcome learning difficulties", 73.4% people answered "Study hard"; When answering "your opinion on the employment difficulties of local college students", the proportion of answering "understandable and tolerable, which is the inevitable result of the popularization of higher education in China" and "study hard, improve yourself and improve competitiveness" accounted for 33.6% and 48% respectively.

3. In the code of conduct and attitude towards life, it presents a diversified development trend.

When answering "when the country is in danger", the proportions of "help as much as possible" and "contribute everything if the country needs it" are 52% and 31.9% respectively; When answering the viewpoint of "subjectively for oneself, objectively for others", the proportions of "completely agreeing, comparatively agreeing, basically disagreeing and disapproving" are 1 1%, 38%, 32% and 14.2% respectively, which shows that the code of conduct of college students is diversified and more people. 58.2% think that college students can fall in love, promote each other and make progress together, 17.2% think it is necessary to talk about it, 19.6% think it is best not to talk about it, and falling in love does more harm than good.

Main problems in ideological education of college students

The mainstream of college students' ideological and moral situation is good, but there are also some problems in different degrees, which are as follows:

1, political attitude

Some students have a negative political attitude and lack confidence in the party's leadership, party building and the goal of building a well-off society in an all-round way. The questionnaire survey shows that 12.6% people disagree that "Theory of Three Represents is the guiding ideology of our party"; 17.4% is skeptical about "China * * * has the ability to build itself well"; 54.4% people think that the anti-corruption struggle has had little or no effect in recent years; 30% said that "it is difficult to judge now" and "socialism can defeat capitalism after all"; 18.4% thinks that the goal of building a well-off society in an all-round way is "difficult to achieve"; Some students have impure motives for joining the party, 26. 1% think that joining the party will "benefit", and 5.9% ask for joining the party because "there are many people around who ask for joining the party, but they don't ask for it well".

2. Moral quality.

First of all, some students lack honesty. In the questionnaire survey, 3.9% of the students think that "the school is run by the state, and the tuition fee can be postponed", and 4. 1% of the students think that "the loan is the bank's money and cannot be repaid". Secondly, some students are not honest enough. Some graduates cheat the trust of employers with fake grades and certificates in the process of employment; Some graduates broke their promises after signing contracts with their employers. According to the questionnaire survey, 25.8% of the graduates think that it is understandable to make false documents in order to find a job. 7.8% people think that graduates can "default at will, and schools should not restrict them" in the process of employment. Third, some students don't pay attention to their words and deeds. Some students call names, and some students take other people's things at school, which is extremely disproportionate to their university status.

3. Value orientation.

First, some students are at a loss after going to college, and there is no goal in their study and life. In the questionnaire survey, 8% people think that "the value of life lies in eating, drinking and having fun in time"; 6.6% and 2 1. 1% people admit that they surf the internet almost every day and often. 34.5% people surf the Internet for entertainment. Second, the value orientation of some students is "self-centered, individual struggle". These students do not take part in group activities at school, do not take learning as their main task, and are unwilling to accept the constraints of school discipline. Instead, they are self-centered and go their own way. In the questionnaire survey, 2 1. %, 33% and 10‰ think that the happiness of life lies in "meeting personal goals and needs", "living a quiet and comfortable life and getting enough honor, status and money", and that college students should fall in love, which can "eliminate loneliness" and "get psychological comfort". 47.3% and 16.2% think that the main purpose of renting a house off campus is "free and unrestrained" and "convenient for falling in love" respectively.

4. Mental health.

First, a few students have psychological barriers before entering school, and their behavior at school is somewhat abnormal. Second, some students lack psychological endurance in the face of exam failure, frustration in love and financial difficulties. Some students lost their confidence in learning after failing the exam. Some students try to retaliate against each other or have suicidal thoughts after falling in love; Some students feel inferior because of poor family economic conditions. Third, some students are jealous. Some students will feel sad if they don't peek when they see others peeking during the exam, fearing that they will suffer in the exam; Some students always suspect that the students who were rated as "three good students" did not win the honor by their own real skills. In the questionnaire survey, 7% and 4.9% people think their psychology is "unhealthy" and "very unhealthy" respectively. 43.2% and 8.5% people think that the current mental health status of college students is "poor" and "very poor" respectively.

Reflections on the Ideological Education of Contemporary College Students

There are still many problems in college students' thoughts. What caused this situation? What efforts should be made to truly reverse the passive situation of ideological education? To this end, we draw inspiration:

1. To do a good job in ideological education for college students, we must first attach importance to ideological education in primary and secondary schools.

The formation of a person's ideology is a long process. From primary school to middle school to university, each stage is very important for the growth of students. At present, the ideological education in primary and secondary schools in China is very weak, and the excessive emphasis on the enrollment rate makes the ideological education courses in primary and secondary schools exist in name only, and the ideological education activities are less and less. University is the last stage before a person enters the society. It is unreasonable to put the task of ideological education entirely in the university stage, and it is even more unfair to blame the university for all kinds of problems existing in college students' ideological consciousness. The ideological education of primary and secondary school students and college students is a systematic project.

2. Strengthen investigation and study, and correctly understand the ideological status of contemporary college students.

Under the background of globalization, today's society is undergoing drastic changes; With the advent of the Internet age, college students' ideology is becoming more and more active. Making a correct judgment on college students' ideological situation is the premise of doing a good job in college students' ideological education, and it also urges us to really go deep, understand contemporary college students and summarize and reflect on our work, which is very helpful for us to do a good job in college students' ideological education in the future.

3. The key to strengthening the ideological education of college students is to strengthen the reform of "two courses".

"Two Courses" is the main channel and position of ideological education for college students. Over the years, the construction of "two courses" in colleges and universities has been increasing, which should be said to have achieved good results. However, there are many problems in the current "two courses". We believe that the reform in the general sense can not change the status quo of the "two courses" in colleges and universities. To give full play to the role of "Two Courses" in ideological education of college students, we must really keep pace with the times and carry out major operations on "Two Courses" from a strategic height, such as changing the curriculum of "Two Courses", strengthening the construction of "Two Courses" textbooks and strengthening the construction of "Two Courses" teachers.

4. Strengthen the ideological education of college students. We must seize the network position.

Internet has become an important way for college students to communicate and learn. Many college students are keen on the virtual life of chatting, making friends and playing online games. According to the questionnaire survey, 6.6% students surf the Internet almost every day, as many as 21.6% students surf the Internet frequently, and 5 1.6% students claim to surf the Internet occasionally. The multilateral equality of the Internet has shortened the physical distance and psychological distance between people, and people's political beliefs, values, ethics, cultural traditions and life concepts are colliding and merging on an unprecedented scale. With its interactive function and rich content, the Internet is more likely to impress young students who pursue fashion and are full of curiosity, and provides us with a shortcut to better understand and guide students.

5. Pay attention to mental health education and strengthen psychological counseling.

With the expansion of the scale of running a school and the intensification of competition, more and more mental health problems of college students are exposed, which must arouse our great attention. According to the questionnaire survey, 49.9% of the teachers think that the mental health of college students is not good. Students who consider themselves "unhealthy" and "very unhealthy" are also 43.2% and 8.5% respectively. What is worrying is that 20% of students are trapped in their hearts when they have troubles and can't solve them. The reason is that students' mental health is poor, which is mainly caused by employment, interpersonal relationship, love and economy. We believe that compulsory courses of mental health education should be set up in colleges and universities to strengthen the power of psychological consultation stations. At the same time, we should make good use of the Internet, set up psychological consultation clinics online, and strive to improve the mental health level of college students.
