Ceng Zi is the main inheritor and disseminator of Confucius' theory. He inherited the Confucian orthodoxy and enlightened the Mencius School, which occupies an extremely important position in the history of education in China. Ceng Zi's educational thought is mainly embodied in the educational goal of cultivating "gentlemen" and taking filial piety as the basic educational content. He emphasized "learning to be responsible for yourself", integrating knowledge with practice, and paying attention to the relationship between the educated and the surrounding environment. He believes that respecting teachers and valuing morality is the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation.
