The difference between the ticket with the word "Xue" (pictured) sold at the ticket office and the regular ticket sample is that the word "Xue" is on it, and the price is usually more favorable than the normal fare. The discount varies according to the type of train and the type of hard seat/sleeper. The high-speed rail student ticket is 7.5% off the second-class ticket price.
