College of higher education

At present, it undertakes more than 20 scientific research projects, including the Tenth Five-Year Key Project of National Education Science, the New Century Teaching Reform Project of Ministry of Education, the Tenth Five-Year Key Scientific Research Project of National Center for Degree and Postgraduate Education Development, the Key Project of Hubei Education Science and the Ford Foundation International Cooperation Project. In the near future, the key research directions are higher education discipline construction research, modern university system research, university cultural quality education research, research universities and world-class universities research, degree and postgraduate education research. College research institute

University College, established in May 2003, is the core institution of the College Development Research Center, the key research base of humanities and social sciences in Hubei Province, and the president unit of the College Research Branch of China Higher Education Society, with Professor Liu Xianjun as the president. There are master's degree programs and doctoral degree programs in educational economics and management.

The Institute mainly carries out research on the theory and method of college research with China characteristics, college strategic planning and management, and college consulting research, especially on college management and development, which has an important influence in China. At present, he has undertaken more than one 10 scientific research project, such as major key projects of the Ministry of Education, the Eleventh Five-Year Plan of the National Social Science Fund, the Social Science Department of the Ministry of Education, and the New Century Teaching Research Institute of the Ministry of Education. Institute of psychology

The Institute of Psychology was established in February 2000. The college always adheres to the principle of paying equal attention to teaching and scientific research. In personnel training, the focus is on master students and doctoral students, and the main courses undertaken are: educational psychology, psychological principles, management psychology, college students' psychology and cognitive psychology. In terms of scientific research, it has undertaken and participated in four projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Philosophy and Social Science Foundation, and undertaken a number of scientific research projects funded by Hubei Province and schools. The main research directions of the institute are: the study of cognitive processes such as learning, memory and thinking, educational psychology, moral psychology of college students, and university management psychology.

Education research institute

The Institute of Pedagogy was established in 2000. The college adheres to the principle of paying equal attention to teaching and scientific research. In terms of personnel training, we focus on cultivating master students and doctoral students, and also offer public courses for the whole school. There are 5 teachers, 2 professors, 2 associate professors and 2 lecturers. With the exception of one professor, the other five teachers have obtained their doctorates in Peking University, East China Normal University, Central China Normal University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology and other well-known domestic universities, and the two teachers have visited the United States and Britain for one year respectively. The courses offered by the college mainly include: educational principles, educational sociology, moral principles, Chinese and foreign educational history, curriculum theory, teaching theory, teacher education, family education and so on. In terms of scientific research, the institute has undertaken many projects, such as the key project of the tenth five-year plan of the national education science program and the Hubei sub-project of the tenth five-year plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

College development research center

Huazhong University of Science and Technology College Development Research Center was established in March 2000, which is a key research base of humanities and social sciences in Hubei universities. Professor Liu Xianjun, director of the center, is the president of the University Research Branch of China Higher Education Association. The center has a solid discipline platform and a high-level team of full-time and part-time teachers. Its research interests include college development and strategic planning, students' learning and development, teachers' appointment and development, and college data system design and analysis.

Since its establishment, the center has made remarkable achievements after more than ten years of construction, leading the development direction of university research in China. The center has published more than 20 books and 200 papers in CSSCI source journals, of which 8 papers have been reproduced in full by Xinhua Digest. He has undertaken more than 30 scientific research projects, won more than 30 scientific research awards 10 at or above the provincial level, and won 4 teaching achievement awards at or above the provincial level; Since 2003, academic seminars on college research have been held regularly, with one domestic conference and two international conferences held every year. Center for International and Comparative Education Research

Founded in 2000, the Center for International and Comparative Education is an interdisciplinary research center with frequent international academic exchanges: Professor Shen Hong has studied or visited six countries including the United States, Japan, Canada, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam, and two regions including Hong Kong and Taiwan Province; Associate Professor Bei Dunrong has studied or visited the United States and France. Associate Professor Zhang Xiaoming has visited Japan and Canada. Associate Professor Chen Min went to Japan to study or visit; Zhou Yan, an associate professor, went to study in England. National college students' cultural quality education base

Established in 1997 and approved by the Ministry of Education 1999, the college students' cultural quality education base has become a national college students' cultural quality education base. Huazhong University of Science and Technology took the lead in advocating strengthening the cultural quality education of college students, and took the integration of humanities education and science and technology education as one of the guiding ideology. It belongs to the Institute of Educational Science of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
