Pavilion is an open building made of wood, stone, concrete and other materials, which is usually built in gardens or scenic spots for tourists to watch, watch and rest. There are many ancient pavilions in China, among which the four famous pavilions are the most famous.
That is, the love night pavilion at the mouth of Qingfeng gorge in Yuelu Mountain, Changsha City, Hunan Province,
Lake Pavilion on the central island of West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang,
Zuiweng Pavilion in Langya Mountain, Chuxian County, Anhui Province
There is also the Taoran Pavilion in You 'anmen, Beijing.
Taoranting was founded in the thirty-fourth year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (1695). At that time, Dr. Jiang Zao from the Ministry of Industry often went to Bates Temple in his spare time because he wanted to supervise the construction of the black kiln factory north of Taoranting. He thought it was elegant and chic, so he built a small pavilion in it and expanded it nine years later. He took Bai Juyi's poem "Get drunk with you when the chrysanthemum family is ripe", and later named it "Taoranting", also known as "Jiangting". The original meaning of "Taoran" refers to the appearance of ease and happiness. Jiang Zao also inscribed a plaque with the words "Tao Ran".
Taoranting is located at the western end of Bates buddhist nun South Yard. Different from modern pavilions, it is not a pavilion of various shapes in common gardens, but an open porch with three rooms sitting on the top of two slopes from west to east. There are revolving paintings on the inner beams of the open gallery, mostly flower-and-bird figures, and the corridor behind the gallery is ingeniously integrated with Bates buddhist nun.
The south wall of Taoranting is inlaid with two inscriptions, one is "Taoranting Poetry" written by Jiang Zao after the pavilion was built, and the other is "Taoranting Story" written by his brother Gao Jiang, which records the long history of Taoranting.
Bates Temple was built in Yuan Dynasty with a history of more than 600 years. Before liberation, this was a place where underground gangs conducted secret activities. 1920 In August, Li Dazhao, Deng and other comrades held an important meeting in Anbei Annex Building. From 1920 to 1923, comrades Yun, Deng Zhongxia and Gao had many secret meetings here.
After renovation, Taoranting and Bates Temple were listed as revolutionary memorial sites by the municipal government on August, 2008 1979, and announced as key cultural relics protection units in Beijing, which are now open to the outside world.
From the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, garbage was everywhere near Taoranting, and mosquitoes and flies were breeding. Due to the siltation of the river, the clear water pool has become a stagnant pool, and reeds are everywhere nearby, and graves are piled up, which is a desolate and declining scene. After the founding of New China, the Health Bureau of Beijing Municipal Government dredged the stinking pond and introduced the moat water into the lake, turning stagnant water into living water.
The newly dug lake area is 17 hectares. The excavated soil will be piled into hills, a new Mao Ting will be built on the hills, and the surrounding environment will be improved. I can plant flowers, willows and bamboos, pave roads and bridges, and build pavilions. Bates buddhist nun will be expanded into a park, and 1952 will be open to tourists.
Taoranting Park covers an area of 885 mu, including 225 mu of water surface. The lake is divided into three lakes, east, west and south, centering on the central island. In addition to the nunnery, there are also tombs and statues, gardens, Ci Mei Gardens and ancestral gardens of Gao and his girlfriend Shi Pingmei on the central island.
There are seven hills on the bank of the Three Lakes, and seven scenic spots have been built one after another: the northern shore of the West Lake was originally a black kiln factory, also known as "kiln platform", which was specialized in firing black glazed tiles. As the black kiln factory was handed over to the kiln owner for operation and preparation during the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty, it was gradually abandoned.
The Black Kiln Factory has a higher terrain and is close to the waters of Taoranting, making it a good place for people to enjoy the cool and relax in summer. In May every year, people set up a gazebo on the kiln platform, set up a food market and a teahouse for tourists to climb and overlook, and are praised as "Yaotai" by the world.
During the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty, the Taiqing Hall was built on the kiln platform, and the MOS Rail Guandi Temple was built under the stage. On the west bank of the West Lake is Shengchun Mountain House Scenic Area, located in the rose garden where birds are singing and flowers are fragrant. There are two groups of ancient buildings on the south bank of West Lake, Yunhui Building and Yin Qing Pavilion, which were moved from Zhongnanhai in 1954.
To the west is a famous historical pavilion built on the mountain. Many famous pavilions are imitated in the scenic area, which are built according to the ratio of 1: 1, each with its own characteristics, including the Er Quan Pavilion to commemorate "Cha Sheng" Lu Yu.
This unique pavilion is in memory of the great patriotic poet Qu Yuan.
In memory of Li Bai, the immortal pavilion,
Zuiweng Pavilion in memory of Ouyang Xiu, a writer in the Northern Song Dynasty, Lanting and Echi Monument Pavilion in memory of Wang Xizhi, a great calligrapher in the Jin Dynasty,
In memory of the poet Du Fu and the tablet pavilion of Shaoling Caotang,
Moon-soaking Pavilion in Memory of Bai Juyi, a famous poet in Tang Dynasty
There are Canglang Pavilion and Blowing Pavilion.
The south bank of East Lake is Jiuzhou Fiona Fang Scenic Area; The north shore of East Lake is the scenic spot of Wang Chunma. The park has formed a landscape garden with pavilion culture as the main part and patriotism education as the supplement, so that people can learn knowledge, understand history and receive patriotism education in leisure and entertainment.
In addition to the famous pavilions in the historical scenic area, there are many famous pavilions and pavilions in the park, such as Baochun Pavilion, Yixin Pavilion and Zhijin Pavilion. The park is beautiful, with beautiful water, birds and flowers, and lush vegetation. There are outdoor dance halls, theaters, children's playgrounds and other entertainment facilities, which are the best places for people to relax and entertain.
Taoranting Road, starting from Taiping Street in the east and reaching Caishikou Street in the west, is located on the north side of Taoranting Park, with a length of1.238m and a width of10m. It was built after the completion of Taoranting Park.
