On July 14, 2009, Yunxian No.1 Middle School merged with Yunshan Middle School as a whole. The name of the merged school is "No.1 Middle School in Yunxian County, Hubei Province" and the school address is the original site of Yunshan Middle School. In the 26th year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1547), Yunshan Academy was founded by Yu Zhan, then the magistrate of Yunyang. In the third year of Daoguang, Yunshan Academy moved from the northeast of Fuya to the Governor's Office of Yunyang. In the eighth year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty (1869), Yunshan Academy moved from the urban area to the Sanyuan Palace in Yunshan, which is now the former site of Yunshan Middle School. In recent years, the number of junior high school graduates in Yunxian County has shown a downward trend. After a long period of brewing, Yunxian County Party Committee and government decided to merge County No.1 Middle School and Yunshan Middle School as a whole, comprehensively integrate the educational resources of ordinary high schools, improve the utilization rate of educational resources, and strive to build a first-class high school education to meet the people's demand for high-quality high school education.

Yunxian No.1 Middle School was founded in 1940. In July 2009, Yunxian People's Government merged the former Yunxian No.1 Middle School and the former Yunshan Middle School to form a new Yunxian No.1 Middle School, and re-planned the construction on the former Yunshan Middle School site. In July, 206438+03, the school moved to the new campus as a whole. At present, Yunxian No.1 Middle School is located on the peninsula in the south of Yunyang District, in the core area of "one river, two lakes, four districts and six towns", with convenient transportation, beautiful campus environment and complete supporting facilities.

Yunxian No.1 Middle School began to collect new school names from the society at 65438 on October 20th last year/kloc-0, and ended at 65438 on February 20th. After publication, 206 people in 18 province recommended 264 naming schemes. In the end, the names of "Shiyan Yunyang No.1 Middle School", "Shiyan Yunfu High School" and "Shiyan Yunshan High School" were shortlisted.

"No.1 Middle School in Yunyang District, Shiyan City" won an absolute majority by voting at the workers' congress.
