How do freshmen choose courses?
There is no course selection procedure before freshman enters school, and the course of freshman last semester is set by the school.

There is a course selection period near the end of the freshman semester (65438+February). This is the first time that a university has chosen a course. The main choices are general elective courses (that is, courses unrelated to majors) and physical education class. No required courses are required. These courses will only be offered in the first semester.

College students can choose courses freely, and have the opportunity to learn more extensive knowledge and learn what they are interested in. Generally, freshmen begin to choose courses in the second semester. Freshmen don't have to worry for the time being, they can learn from their seniors. General course selection needs to go to the school's educational administration system, which is divided into pre-selection stage and course selection stage.

The school will inform you in advance. When will the pre-selection start? Students will choose their favorite courses at that time, and popular courses may end soon. If the pre-selection is successful, it will become its own course, and you can continue to choose courses in the formal course selection stage.

Matters needing attention in course selection:

1. First, choose courses according to the credit requirements, and choose courses with higher credits, which is more challenging and can guarantee enough credits.

2. Course selection should take into account the balance of arts and sciences, and it is best to accept both arts and sciences. Although words are easier to pass, it is more reasonable to learn practical knowledge.

3. If the courses you choose are popular, you must start taking them as soon as possible, otherwise you may not choose them, and you can only choose those courses left by others.

It is very important to choose courses that interest you, because it will be the source of motivation for you to study hard. So, try to choose what you really like.

About physical education class, we should choose according to our own specialties. We can choose what we are good at in high school, such as table tennis, so that we can study more systematically in college.
