What is the popularization rate of compulsory education for disabled children in China?
Lu Yong, Chairman of the Executive Committee of China Disabled Persons' Federation, introduced in the "Ministerial Channel" of the Great Hall of the People on March 19 that the compulsory education coverage rate of disabled children in China has reached over 90%.

Lu Yong said that there are about 6.5438+0.68 million disabled children aged 0-6 in China, including about 220,000 poor families. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China has adopted a series of measures, such as amending the Regulations on Education for the Disabled and introducing a special education promotion plan, to ensure the right of disabled children to receive compulsory education. At present, the popularization rate of compulsory education for disabled children in China has reached more than 90%.

According to the Second Special Education Promotion Plan (20 17-2020) issued on 2017, by 2020, the enrollment rate of compulsory education for disabled children and adolescents in China will reach over 95%, and compulsory education for disabled children and adolescents will be fully popularized. The plan proposes that the data of school-age disabled children and adolescents who are not enrolled in school should be verified by districts and counties one by one. By attending special education schools, ordinary schools, special education classes of children's welfare institutions (including minors' rescue and protection institutions) and sending teachers to the door, we will implement the "one person, one case" and do a good job in education placement.
