First, improve "teachers' sense of efficacy"
Woolfolk said in the book; "Many of my own studies have focused on teachers' sense of efficacy. The so-called teacher's sense of efficacy means that a teacher firmly believes that he has the ability to help any student, even a student with learning difficulties. " After reading this, I think of another word that I often hear in my life, which is called "job burnout". Education, especially the work of middle school teachers, is highly repetitive for many people, and teachers are particularly prone to job burnout in their work day after day and year after year. Improving teachers' sense of efficacy seems to be an effective way to overcome job burnout. The key to teachers' self-efficacy lies in their self-confidence. They believe that their efforts have an inevitable relationship with the growth of students, and they believe that their efforts will definitely help students make academic progress and other aspects of growth. Only in this way can teachers determine the meaning of their profession and focus on improving their abilities.
] Second, differentiated teaching
Woolfolk wrote in the second section of the first chapter of Educational Psychology, "What is quality education? The concept of "differential teaching" is in. Differential teaching refers to a flexible teaching method that adopts corresponding teaching contents, processes and objectives according to students' preparation, interests and learning needs. It takes into account students' abilities, previous knowledge and challenges, so that teaching not only matches the subject content, but also meets students' needs. With the development of the times, we find that there are many differences between students and our way of thinking and behavior habits. In fact, based on different growth environments such as family background, there are also huge differences among students of the same age. However, the class teaching mode often makes us too "equal" in class teaching and class management. We treat students and deal with problems with universal experience, and we can't see the differences between students, so it is easy to ignore the "key details" in education and teaching.
Third, research based on science.
The phrase "research based on science" appeared 1 10 times in the federal bill No Child Left Behind. The specific meaning of this phrase is: (1) Obtaining reliable and effective data through systematic observation and experiment; (2) Use strict and appropriate procedures to analyze data; (3) Detailed description and repeatability; (4) The research has passed the strict independent evaluation of experts in this field. Science-based research belongs to experimental research and is divided into three categories: descriptive research, related research and experimental research. As a liberal arts student, I lack this research method. Although this research method is not perfect in the field of education, it also reminds me to consciously sum up and reflect, pay attention to observation and data collection, and organically combine empirical and scientific research in education and teaching.
