Maanshan City, referred to as "Ma" for short, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Anhui Province and the central city of the Yangtze River Delta. Located in East China, East Anhui Province, Lower Yangtze River, East Nanjing City, West Wuhu City, North Hefei City and Chuzhou City, South Xuancheng City, with a total area of 4,049 square kilometers. Maanshan belongs to subtropical humid monsoon climate, with obvious monsoon, distinct four seasons and warm and humid climate.
As of 202 1, Maanshan city has three districts and three counties under its jurisdiction; By the end of 20021,the permanent population of Maanshan was 2157,000. Ma 'anshan belonged to the State of Wu in the Western Zhou Dynasty, changed to the State of Yue and Chu in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, and belonged to Danyang County (now Danyang Town, dangtu county) from the Qin Dynasty to the Western Jin Dynasty. 195610 June 12, the State Council approved the establishment of Maanshan city as a provincial municipality.

Ma 'anshan Port is one of the top ten ports in the Yangtze River, and Zhengpu Port is the only excellent deep-water port with a tonnage of 10,000 tons in Jiangbei area of Anhui Province, and it is positioned as an Anhui river-sea combined transport hub. Ma 'anshan is a demonstration city of international tourism culture in southern Anhui, with such scenic spots as Caishiji, Baochan and Wujiang Scenic Area.
