Zhejiang Media College is a media college sponsored by Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, supervised by Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, and jointly established by Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and State Administration of Radio and Television. It is a training base for international humanities exchange and media talents of the Ministry of Education, a project unit of the Chinese-foreign high-level university student exchange program of the Ministry of Education, a member unit of the Zhejiang-Africa Higher Education Partnership Program, a national language promotion base, and a national-level language standardization demonstration school.

By June 2022, the school had two campuses, Qiantang in Hangzhou and Wuzhen in Tongxiang, covering an area of 1.305 mu with a total construction area of 642,000 square meters.
