Colleges and universities are the main places to train talents in China, and the essential feature of talents lies in creation. 2 1 century, innovative talents will be the core demand. Pioneering spirit, innovative consciousness and creative ability will be one of the most important qualities of talents in the era of knowledge economy. Therefore, it is the common sacred duty of universities in China and even the world to cultivate talents with innovative consciousness and creativity. At present, universities in China lack the training and cultivation of students' creative thinking. Therefore, the lack of innovative ability and innovative consciousness is a prominent problem faced by college students in China. The main reasons for this situation are as follows: First, the education systems in China and abroad are completely different. For a long time, the exam-oriented education system of judging heroes by scores has been implemented in China, which has stifled students' imagination and creativity to some extent; Secondly, the liberal arts branch of senior high school will further kill the compound talents who meet the development requirements of 2 1 century in the cradle; Thirdly, influenced by traditional ideas, teachers lack a relaxed and active atmosphere in teaching and cannot give students the opportunity to show their wisdom and talents. The traditional teaching mode inhibits the development of students' personality and creativity; Fourthly, students' inertial learning style of "knowing what it is, but not knowing why" restricts the cultivation of their "knowledge-seeking" ability. All of the above are quite different from the training mode of world-class universities, which focuses on inspiring students' thinking, developing students' intelligence, developing students' creativity, striving to broaden students' knowledge and paving the way for exploring the unknown world. So, how should our university cultivate students' creative ability? University education should change the concept of education and teaching. To cultivate creative college students, we must comprehensively improve the relevant links of education and teaching, that is, weaken the wrong orientation of exam-oriented education, cancel the division of arts and sciences, and cultivate creative teachers. China south university of science and technology of china (Shenzhen), as a national pilot school for comprehensive reform of higher education, has made a brave attempt to break down the barriers of exam-oriented education. Although it seems that a university alone cannot change the overall environment of exam-oriented education, it is a change after all.
