Yiyang Vocational and Technical College takes Yiyang's English abbreviation YY as the basic element and the composition of white cranes and sailboats as the central part. Yiyang Vocational and Technical College is a full-time general higher vocational college approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. The predecessor of the College is Yiyang Agricultural School founded by 1972 and Yiyang Industry and Trade School founded by 1979.
