Nine, special provisions on teacher qualifications. According to Article 9 of the Measures for the Implementation of Teachers' Qualification Regulations, if an institution of higher learning intends to employ a professor, an associate professor or a person with a doctorate to apply for the qualification of a teacher in an institution of higher learning, it is not necessary to conduct an investigation on the basic quality and ability of education and teaching and a test on the level of Putonghua.
Teachers' education graduates of various schools at all levels can hold graduation certificates and apply to the teacher qualification accreditation institution where their work unit or household registration is located for direct accreditation of the corresponding teacher qualifications. Teachers' qualification accreditation bodies shall, after reviewing the graduation certificate, Putonghua proficiency certificate, physical examination certificate issued by hospitals at or above the county level designated by the teachers' qualification accreditation bodies, and the "Teacher Qualification Applicant's Ideological and Moral Appraisal Form" provided by the township (town) government or subdistrict office where the applicant's work unit or domicile is located, identify their corresponding teacher qualifications. The requirements for investigating the basic quality and ability of normal education graduates who lack the teaching practice in the teaching plan during their studies shall be stipulated by the provincial education administrative department.
This year's graduates can apply to the teacher qualification accreditation institution where they are studying or planning to teach in the last semester before graduation with the application materials such as ideological and moral appraisal and academic transcripts issued by the school. Those who have passed the examination by the teacher qualification expert review committee and meet the accreditation conditions shall be recognized by the teacher qualification accreditation body after obtaining the graduation certificate.
