Huaqiao University is an ordinary institution of higher learning directly under the Central United Front Work Department, jointly established by the Central United Front Work Department, the Ministry of Education and the Fujian Provincial People's Government. It is a national Chinese education base, a national college students' cultural quality education base, a national language and writing promotion base, a national service export base in the field of language and writing services, a national demonstration university for deepening the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, a national demonstration school for the reform of college teachers' assessment and evaluation, and a national Chinese excellent traditional culture inheritance base.
