Based on teaching and scientific research, the school insists on teaching and research-oriented schools, promotes education by scientific research, promotes teachers by scientific research, dares to explore and innovate, and has achieved many achievements in teaching and scientific research. 1998 to 2003, school teachers published 4 papers in national, provincial and municipal newspapers and won 38 national, provincial and municipal awards. Eight projects were approved by provinces and cities, and the winning bid rate reached 100%. Therefore, the school was rated as the advanced collective of teaching and scientific research in Lucheng District, and two teachers were rated as the advanced individuals of teaching and scientific research in the city and district respectively, which filled the blank of intellectual education and scientific research in Wenzhou. The third and fourth volumes of "Full-time Compulsory Education Experimental Textbook for Mentally Handicapped (Moderate) Chinese Living" edited by the school passed the examination and approval of the Provincial Textbook Writing Committee, and were published by Zhejiang Education Publishing House, which was also well received by domestic special education experts and peers. The school attaches great importance to students' quality education, advocates the trinity of cultural education, rehabilitation training and initial job training, aims at cultivating students' survival ability and labor skills, fully develops students' potential, makes up for students' defects, and lays the foundation for students' early integration into society. In recent years, the heart system made by students won the third prize of students' hand-made in provincial special schools in 2008; Dances such as Chopsticks Dance, Dedication of Love, Happy World and Lu won the second and third prizes at the national, provincial and municipal levels. He won the collective moral fashion award, two gold medals and three silver medals at the first Special Olympics in the province, which was highly appreciated by the city leaders.
