Article 48

The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of National Defense are responsible for the military training of students in ordinary colleges and universities and ordinary high schools. The education department and the military department shall set up institutions for students' military training or designate special personnel to undertake students' military training.

Article 45

Students in ordinary colleges and universities must receive basic military training during their school days.

According to the needs of national defense construction, short-term intensive training will be given to students who are suitable for officers' posts. Those who pass the examination will be approved by military organs to serve in the officers' reserve.

Article 46

Colleges and universities set up military training institutions, equipped with military teachers, and organize the implementation of military training for students.

Article 50 After the State issues a mobilization order, people's governments at all levels and military organs must mobilize quickly:

(1) Soldiers in active service stop retiring from active service, and soldiers on leave or visiting relatives must return to the army immediately;

(2) Reserve personnel and national defense students should be ready for active service at any time, and must report to the designated place on time after receiving the notice;

(3) The responsible persons of state organs, public organizations, enterprises and institutions and people's governments of townships, nationality townships and towns must organize the reservists of their own units to report at the specified time and place;

(4) The transportation department shall give priority to transporting reservists, national defense students and active servicemen back to the army.
