The school is deeply involved in the whole industrial chain of rail transit equipment manufacturing, and has set up higher vocational majors (directions) such as railway locomotive and vehicle manufacturing and maintenance, EMU maintenance technology and urban rail vehicles, forming a professional system covering the manufacturing, application, management and maintenance of rail transit equipment such as high-speed rail, ordinary rail and subway.
Schools adhere to the road of integration of production and education and school-enterprise cooperation, and constantly improve their social service capabilities. Relying on the "National High-speed Railway Equipment Manufacturing Vocational Education Alliance" and "Hunan Demonstration Rail Transit Equipment Manufacturing and Application Vocational Education Group" and the Intelligent Manufacturing Industry College jointly established with China CRRC Zhuji Company, we can share resources and improve the quality of personnel training and the ability to serve enterprises.
Relying on school-run enterprises, school research and innovation teams and productive training bases, we will carry out research and development, technical services and locomotive parts production for Hunan rail transit industry. It has been rated as a modern apprenticeship pilot school established by the Ministry of Education, a national vocational education teacher training base, a national backbone teacher training base, a Sino-German teacher training domestic base, a national advanced manufacturing technology student training (teacher training) base in higher vocational colleges, and the first batch of "national high-skilled personnel training bases".
The school implements the four core "characteristics" training systems of "feelings of home and country, broadening horizons, sunny mentality and locomotive spirit", and graduates are favored by employers because of their "ability to get down, stay, use, potential and development".
