The Central Audio-visual Education Center has successfully completed the tasks of the Ministry of Education's "Tomorrow's Training for Female Teachers", the Ministry of Education's modern distance education poverty alleviation demonstration project, and the Li Ka-shing Foundation's western primary and secondary school modern distance education project. At present, the Central Audio-visual Education Center is actively participating in the implementation of the national modern distance education project for rural primary and secondary schools, providing free distance education resources to nearly 80,000 project schools through satellite and network transmission, and providing technical services such as reception and registration for schools. The Central Audio-visual Education Center also participated in the pilot project of modern distance education for cadres in rural party member.
The Central Audio-visual Education Center has undertaken the distance education project of UNICEF, the cooperation project of strengthening the capacity building of basic education in western China between China and Canada, the innovative teaching project of basic education between the Ministry of Education and -IBM, and the cooperation project with the World Links organization of the United States, and achieved gratifying results.
Over the years, the central audio-visual education center has focused on educational technology and carried out various training activities for different targets, with more than 654.38+million trainees, which has promoted the improvement of the theory and application level of educational technology for directors, professionals and primary and secondary school teachers at all levels.
Since the Eighth Five-Year Plan, the Central Audio-visual Education Center has undertaken the research work of key topics of the state and the Ministry of Education for three consecutive five years. "Research on Audio-visual Education Promoting Classroom Teaching Optimization in Primary and Secondary Schools" won the second prize of the second national outstanding achievement in educational science. During the Tenth Five-Year Plan period, the Central Audio-visual Education Center is organizing thousands of modern educational technology experimental schools across the country to carry out research work on the key topics of the Tenth Five-Year Plan of the National Education Science Plan, such as "Theoretical and Practical Research on Learning and Teaching Based on Modern Information Technology Environment". In the past 20 years, researchers of the Central Audio-visual Education Center have published a large number of papers and monographs, which have had a wide impact on the practice of educational technology.
China Audio-visual Education magazine was selected as the core periodical of education in China, became an important retrieval source periodical of CSSCI in China, and was included in the phalanx of academic journals in China.
