I liked music and literature and art when I was in primary school and middle school. 1960 graduated from the Department of Planning and Statistics of China Renmin University and worked in the First Ministry of Machinery Industry. Joined the Chinese Writers Association the following year. 1982 Joined the China Center of International PEN, and went to the United States with a delegation of American writers to attend the first meeting of Chinese and American writers. Vice chairman of Beijing Writers Association. 1992 was elected honorary academician of American Literature and Art Society, member of China Branch of International PEN, member of the 4th, 5th and 6th National Committee of Chinese Writers Association, and the 7th honorary member.
