The College of Humanities of Yunnan University is a directly affiliated college established on the basis of the former China Department of Language and Literature, the Department of History and the Department of Philosophy. The College of Humanities now manages four departments in China, namely, the Department of Language and Literature, the Department of Journalism, the Department of History and Philosophy, and the Ministry of Humanities and Education.
The College of Humanities of Yunnan University is one of the largest teaching institutions directly under China. His philosophy of running a school, which integrates literature, history and philosophy, is embodied in the newly established college structure. The School of Humanities of Yunnan University is in the forefront of the country in the fields of literature and art, aesthetics, narratology, folklore, folk literature, minority languages and literature, philology, specialized history, frontier studies, national history, history of Tang and Song Dynasties, history of Southeast Asia and ethnic exchanges.
