(September 28th, 55 1- April 1 1, 479), surnamed Kong, named Qiu, was honored as Confucius. He was born in Lu, and his ancestors were Song people. He was an educator and philosopher in Lu at the end of the Spring and Autumn Period of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, and once held an important position in Lu.

Confucius is the founder of Confucianism, and his thoughts of virtue (benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and faithfulness) have a far-reaching influence on the surrounding areas, such as the Korean Peninsula, Ryukyu, Japan, Vietnam and Southeast Asia, also known as the Confucian cultural circle.

Family and birth

Confucius was a native of Lu, and his distant ancestor was the Shang royal family. After that, his ancestors were enfeoffed to Song. The16th ancestor was Di Yi of Shang Dynasty, the15th ancestor was Song, the second monarch of Song State, the12nd ancestor was before Song State, and the 1 1 ancestor gave way to his younger brother Song State and worshipped him as a minister of Song State. The seventh ancestor Jia was a doctor in the Song Dynasty. He used to be a fu and was killed in the civil strife in the imperial court. Kong Fu Jia fled to Shandong, settled down and became a doctor in Shandong.

Liang Shu, the father of Confucius, lives in changping town, Shandong Province. He is a doctor. Shu and his wife have nine daughters. He was eager to have children, so he continued to take a concubine and got a son named Meng Pi, but his foot was disabled.

At the age of seventy-two, Shu Liangxiang married eighteen-year-old Yan Zhizai three times. Because it is impolite to get married, history books call him promiscuous. Kong Qiu was born in the 22nd year of Duke Xiang of Lu (55 1 year ago). Yan Zhizai went to Niqiu Mountain privately to sacrifice to the Niqiu Mountain God for his son, so he was named Qiu.
