Adult undergraduate course is introduced as follows:

Adult undergraduate course refers to the starting point of senior high school undergraduate course in adult college entrance examination (from the entrance examination) and the starting point of national unified entrance examination for adult colleges and universities (from the entrance examination), which is recruited by the recruitment office in adult colleges and universities.

It belongs to the national education series and is included in the national enrollment plan. Part-time education and full-time education, vocational college graduates and ordinary school graduates at the same level enjoy equal treatment in terms of professional title evaluation and national recognition of academic qualifications.

The National Unified Entrance Examination for Adult Colleges and Universities (hereinafter referred to as Adult College Entrance Examination) is an entrance examination for selecting qualified graduates from various adult colleges and universities in China to enter a higher level of academic education. Adult college entrance examination is a series of national education, which is included in the national enrollment plan, recognized by the state and unified nationwide enrollment examination.

Adult higher education can be divided into three types: junior college, senior high school and junior college. There are three forms of study in school: full-time, part-time and correspondence. (From the autumn of 2025, continuing education in colleges and universities will no longer use the names of "correspondence" and "amateur", but will be unified as "part-time").

Self-study examination of higher education, referred to as self-study examination and self-study examination for short, is a national examination of higher education for participants in self-study examination, which is a combination of individual self-study, social assistance and national examination.

Those who take the self-study exam shall register and take the exam at the time and place specified by the provincial education examination institutions. After obtaining more than one (inclusive) course, the provincial education examination institution shall establish examination management files for it. Participants in the self-study exam have obtained all the qualified scores stipulated in the professional plan.

After completing other teaching practice tasks such as graduation examination or thesis defense in examiner's school and passing ideological and moral appraisal, you can get a graduation certificate, and the state recognizes its academic qualifications. Undergraduate graduates of self-study examinations who meet the conditions for conferring degrees shall be awarded bachelor's degrees by examiners with the right to confer degrees in accordance with relevant regulations.
