Three Questions about the "Mass Line" In today's Party's mass line education practice, the media published some articles by experts, scholars and leading cadres to interpret the "mass line". There are three questions here. 1. Who are the masses and what are their interests? The reality is that within the people, different social classes and stakeholders often have different values, different interests demands, different ways of expressing interests and different ways of safeguarding interests, and the interest game between different groups is becoming more and more open and intense. Therefore, in order to achieve effective "close contact with the masses" under the new situation, we must first understand these situations. Otherwise, it is another kind of "separation from the masses". 2. Ming Xin, a professor at the Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, believes that in essence, party member cadres in China are all the masses; But as far as party spirit is concerned, they should be advanced elements among the masses. As far as power is concerned, party member cadres and the masses enjoy common political and economic rights, and they do not and cannot have any privileges; But as far as responsibility is concerned, party member cadres should bear more responsibilities than ordinary people. In recent years, some cadres in party member are less and less like * * * people, and less and less take their vows seriously. Once we regard being in power as an interest, we are actually destroying the Great Wall. 3. Will the mass line education practice pay more attention to system construction? Mingxin believes that a truly effective system needs a binding force, so that the system can really play its role. This binding force is the people. How to empower the masses? When we really find and constantly improve this mechanism, the superiority of our political system will be more prominent.
