"The Analects of Confucius Wei Linggong XV" 39: Teach people to seek truth and apply what they have learned.

Confucius said, "There are no classes in teaching."

Mr. Wang said: people are born with education, learn to be human, and no longer classify.

Many words of Confucius are concise summaries of his profound practice. If you understand it from the perspective of words, it is extremely simple. If it is used to guide our practice, it is often beneficial for life.

Confucius said that "there is no class in teaching", first of all, his personal educational practice. Or his own educational principles and ideas, is to uphold such principles and ideas. In the seventh article of The Analects of Confucius, the old man said, "I don't know my self-cultivation." This means that as long as I take the initiative to express my desire to learn and be a man, I have never taught those who have done rituals.

A good teacher like Confucius treats all scholars who voluntarily express their desire for knowledge and life, even in today's compulsory and balanced education, it is absolutely remarkable. What's more, the old man lived more than two thousand years ago, and his spiritual greatness is unparalleled.

This is only from the old people's own educational practice to understand this sentence. Objectively speaking, it is not only a question of educational practice, but also a question of educational belief and pursuit.

There is a liberal arts student on the Internet who has analyzed "Education without Class" from the perspective of text analysis. The results show that "education without class" has at least three meanings:

First, only type A has no type B.

Similar words are: as blind as a bat, there is nothing you can do. There are differences between A and B, but they are related. It can be understood that A is the representation and B is the essence. A is auxiliary, and B is main. In fact, it is to emphasize the importance of B. From this sentence pattern, "education has no class" emphasizes the universality of education, and there is no difference and grade restriction.

Starting from "only A without B", Confucius' words can be understood as that there should be no boundaries and no restrictions to educate the world. This is consistent with his description of "I have never been ignorant".

Second, there is no non-A type with an A.

For example, there is no retreat, which is harmful and useless. This means a turning point. Of these two options, one must be negative, and negation is a positive supplement. This sentence pattern usually means persuasion, temptation and persuasion.

From the point of view of "nothing more than a", "education without class" emphasizes the importance of education, and highlights no obvious classification by teaching people to seek truth from chemistry. On the surface, this kind of understanding over-magnifies the role of education and ignores the influence of heredity, environment and other factors on people's growth.

In fact, starting from the reality of Confucius education. What Confucius teaches is nothing more than teaching people to "learn to be a man", to see their own "benevolence", to be brave in practicing their own benevolence, and to change benevolence into benevolence, so as to distinguish them from animals whose instinctive desires prevail in essence. As long as you learn to be a man, you have surpassed your instinctive desire to do things. Starting from your rational desire to do things, people are equal and there is no classification.

The idiom "Birds of a feather flock together, people are divided into groups" emphasizes the dilution of this kind.

Today, it seems that we are almost against scientific theory, but it is still of positive significance when we look at the background that private schools were in the ascendant more than 2,000 years ago. Confucius said that "education has no class" means emphasizing the importance of education and highlighting the education and guidance of enlightenment itself.

Third, there is no type B if there is type A.

The words of this sentence pattern are: be prepared for danger in times of peace and be fearless. This is a progressive relationship, where the conditions come first and the results come last.

From this sentence pattern, we can understand "teaching without class" in order to highlight the role of education. As long as the education is proper, people who are already different can also be affected to the degree of indifference. "Teaching" is the condition and "not attending classes" is the result.

It is of little practical significance to analyze an educational concept with the thinking of liberal arts students Or Mr. Tao Xingzhi summed it up well, "A thousand religions teach people to seek truth; Learn thousands of things and learn to be a man. " From this point, we can really see the different life of "teaching without discrimination". Learn to be a man, learn to be a real person, what is the difference between a real person and a real person?

The enlightenment of "teaching without distinction" and the study of "learning to be a man" are probably the only ones that can bridge the natural gap between people.
