The times call for middle school biology teaching to attach importance to life education.

From a global perspective, the current lack of human life consciousness is manifested in two aspects: First, the living environment of human beings has been seriously damaged. In the process of transforming nature, human beings often do not respect and care for the lives of animals and plants for immediate interests. A series of problems such as ozone layer destruction, biodiversity imbalance, domestic garbage, energy crisis and nuclear war threaten human life. Second, the phenomenon of homicide and suicide among teenagers is serious. This shocking fact reflects that some students are becoming more and more indifferent and even cold to life.

The above facts show that it is very important and urgent to strengthen human life education. Teenagers are the hope of the future, and paying attention to their life education can fundamentally solve the above problems. Biology has unique advantages in life education for students. On the one hand, biology is a science that studies the law of occurrence and development of life. Only by knowing and mastering the laws of life can we better respect and care for life. On the other hand, in the 20th century, a series of epoch-making research achievements appeared in life sciences, and their scientific theories and methods had a great influence on other disciplines. The development of life science plays a key role in human development. The "Biology Curriculum Standard" promulgated by the state clearly puts forward "to cultivate students to love nature, cherish life, understand the significance of harmonious development between man and nature, and raise awareness of environmental protection". Therefore, we should attach importance to life education in biology teaching and cultivate students' respect and love for life.

3. Guide students to understand the shortness of human life and cherish the lives of themselves and others. Every life is unique and irreplaceable to an individual and deserves everyone's love. When I taught the section "Reproduction, Development and Inheritance of Organisms", I made the students realize that life came into this world as a very accidental opportunity. Every life always includes the process of birth, growth and death. This life course is short and precious. Only by renewing the concept and reforming the teaching mode can biology teaching effectively educate students and better cultivate their ability to respect and love life. I made the following attempts in biology teaching.

3. Organize students to actively participate in all kinds of activities that care for life. First, seize the events that are widely concerned by the society and inspire students to love life. The newspaper published "A bear wounded a student in Tsinghua University" and "A college student put a dog in the microwave oven to observe the incident", which became the focus of media attention and the central topic of discussion. I seize this kind of animal injury, organize students to read relevant newspapers first, and then discuss this kind of incident. Many students said that once my hand was scalded by boiling water, and the pain was unbearable. How can this bear tolerate food soaked in sulfuric acid? How cruel! Some students say that bears are also life, so we should treat them well. Through reading newspapers and discussing, we can awaken students' life conscience and arouse their care and love for life. The second is to organize students to participate in relevant festival activities and cultivate students' habits of caring for the environment and loving life. "3. 12" Arbor Day, "4.22" Earth Day, "6.5" World Environment Day and "Bird-loving Week" are all good opportunities for students to carry out ecological education. I organize students to take an active part in such Sunday activities.

Life education is an indispensable part of modern education, an important content of quality education, and the need to cultivate future citizens with sound personality.
