What is early education?
Early education refers to the school-age education for children from the day they are born. That is, through a series of stimuli, children's reflex activities are aroused, which is children's early learning.

Early education plays an important role in children's future development.

Facts have proved that early education is the need of children's development. When the baby is born, the development of the cerebral cortex has reached the level that it may form conditioned reflex, that is to say, it can accept various sensory stimuli. For example, smell discrimination, feeling music, and tracking objects with eyes. However, this ability can only be developed under different external stimuli. Early stimulation can accelerate the early expression of innate potential. According to the principle of "use in and waste out", without stimulation and training, the activity ability of some cells will decrease and the formed reflection will disappear. At the age of two, the child's nerve fibers have developed well and can be connected in many ways. At the age of three, they have formed a network connection and nerve fibers have myelin sheath. At the age of two, the brain weight has reached one-third of that of adults, three-quarters of that of adults at the age of three, and 90% of that of adults at the age of seven. All these show that early education is not only necessary but also possible.

Early childhood education has three important meanings:

(1) Early education can promote brain development and develop intelligence.

(2) Early education can have a good influence on children's psychological development. Especially in the first few years after birth, normal social environment and education can make children's early life get rich and colorful training, thus making children's emotional, emotional, community activities, language response, mental thinking and other psychological activities be well affected.

(3) In order to revitalize China and realize the four modernizations, we need many professionals who are physically and mentally healthy, have socialist consciousness and understand modern science, culture and technology. Early education is an important step to train more talents in the early stage, which has far-reaching social significance.

Early education can not only create extraordinary children, but also make ordinary children smarter. Educators believe that all children who receive early education can improve their IQ by tens of points. Someone once analyzed the family situation of those children who got the highest and lowest scores in the exam. As a result, the parents of those children who got the highest scores generally pay more attention to consciously educating their children from an early age, even if they enter kindergarten, they will not let themselves go. The parents of the children who scored the lowest did not give their children early education for various reasons.

Infant is an important period for children's psychological development, that is, the best period for receiving education and developing intelligence. If you don't learn some abilities in infancy, it will be more difficult to learn them later. An American psychologist once did an experiment. He selected a group of newborns from the orphanage and put them in a dark room, only giving them mechanical assistance to ensure their survival without any social stimulation. In the experiment, it was found that at first, these subjects were similar to normal babies in physiology, and then their functions gradually degenerated to the point of stupidity. Due to the condemnation of public opinion, the experiment stopped. However, only a few children have returned to normal, and most children have not recovered their humanity despite many efforts, resulting in lifelong stupidity.

The study of human brain physiology shows that the development of the brain is amazing. The brain weight of newborns is only 1/3 of that of adults, but by the age of 6 or 7, the weight is close to that of adults. At the age of 3, the development of human brain nerve cells has reached 70% ~ 80%. Bloom, a famous child psychologist, believes that "a person's intellectual development will reach100% when he is 17 years old; Then it reached 50% at the age of 4, and the rest was reached later. " Therefore, it is not only important but also possible to educate children at an early age.
