The essence of creative thinking is divergent thinking. When encountering problems, this way of thinking can think from multiple angles, multiple sides, multiple levels and multiple structures to find answers, which is neither limited by existing knowledge nor bound by traditional methods. Its thinking line is open and diffuse. Its solution to the problem is not single.
Creative thinking activity process
Creative thinking needs a certain process in problem-solving activities. Psychologists have also done a lot of research on this process. The four-stage theory put forward by British psychologist G.Wallas and the five-stage theory put forward by American psychologist T.Amabile are more representative.
Wallace believes that any creative process includes four stages: preparation stage, brewing stage, clarification stage and verification stage. Emmanuel believes that the process of creative activities consists of five stages: asking questions or tasks, preparation, reaction, verification reaction and result, which can be repeated.
